This is a pretty simple thing its so annoying when you try and view your profile and you have to wait to sync trophies.

Yes this should of happened a long time ago. I don’t know why we don’t have auto syncing trophies. Its a whole safety issue imagine getting a platinum in a game and than your PS3 breaks. In this case you will lose the platinum due to the fact that it wasn’t synced to the server. Lets fix this issue!

So I guess this will be closed. I think the new feature is kind of useless because is not what this idea is about. As soon as done playing, I quit the game and I sync trophies. By the time the automatic update activates, I already sync the trophies by myself.

Few problems with the “Auto” Trophy Syncs.
1. It should be to everyone.
2. You did it wrong.
If this gets added to ideas in action its complete bull. It doesnt do any background syncing when you gain a trophy like *gasp* the 360. =O

This has been getting a lot of hate on the Playstation Blog post about the firmware update. We should not have to pay for what is essentially a basic function of the console.

The way this feature has been implemented is a sick joke, not even mentioning that it should be standard for everyone — as any other system function.

Dear Sony, non PSN+ customers are still legitimate customers. We all paid for that OS and its future updates when we bought the PS3 in the first place.

I know this feature has been implemented but I don’t know how it works as I played a game last night, I got a couple of trophies and did not sync it manually to see if it would update automatically, the issue is that I have not seen anything happening, when does this trophies get sync automatically, when can I expect it to be visible online like when I run it manually?

I am a plus member, but will not use the so called trophy auto sync we just got because that is not what we wanted. The trophpys should sync instantly like a certain other platform. I don’t use auto update because I don’t like my PS3 to come on when I am sleeping/away. Trophy auto sync should also be free, its not like its going to be a huge drain on bandwidth or anything. I could understand charging for something like cross game chat, but trophy auto sync? That is just sad.

Every one who agrees that trophy sync should be free, and done right should all flood the forums and blog posts till Sony makes trophy auto sync work the way it should, and make this basic feature free for everyone.

Add the option for Automatic Update (search for system/game updates, sync trophies) on system shutdown, in addition to the nighttime updates.

That way, everything will pretty much remain in sync all the time.

So close to actually getting this feature and Sony messed it up.. Plus users now get a auto sync feature but its with the automatic download feature and its not done at the time the trophy is earned its done at a later time when your system is off… Lame.

This better not be closed! The trophy feature implemented in FW 3.70 isn’t the real auto trophy sync and isn’t the mandatory feature we wanted and have been wanting for years now. And it has to be free for all PSN users!!! You’re losing it Sony.

All sane PS3 owners, keep commenting here and in other places that this better not be closed, that it’s not the mandatory feature we have wanted for years now and deserve and that it has to be free for all PSN members or bad things like what Sony did with 3.70 will continue to happen and we will never get the mandatory features!

With the trophies I think everytime you put in a new game it should pop up with a message asking if you would like it to track and save the trophies to your account. An instance where this would be beneficial is if your just renting a game or trying out a game you and get like 1% of the trophies. No one likes looking at that. I think you should be able to delete game trophies from your account where you haven’t attained 5% or something like that. Just bothers me because my brother played a game on my ps3 the other day and now I have an empty trophy list for a game I’ll never play

Way to make it only Plus Sony. Nobody subscribes to Plus, you might as well offer it to everybody. Plus should just be like discounts on Store items and online storage. But things like auto updates, auto trophies and anything else u add plus only should be free to everybody.

Guys, the feature was implemented like that because of how all the PS3 structure was designed, remember that trophys where not a part of PSN from the begining, and so is not a simple thing to do, if it was simple (or even posible), sony would had made it like that since the trophys started.

I’d like to see this as well. I think it’s a little outdated to have to manually sync trophies. It’s been a few years since the implementation of trophies, so I’m very surprised that this hasn’t been added in an update yet.

Xbox 360: You get an achievement and it’s already online for everyone to see. Simple as that. If you think it’s not important, it’s because you probably don’t mind about trophies or you are a player satisfied with little. Many players mind it and so it’s important. The sync must be at the time you get the trophy, not after that. It’s so simple. Why can’t it work? Simples ideas are the best.

So your telling me that if I get a trophy in Demon’s Souls it will post to my facebook and my PSN Profile automatically no need to sync with server…? Waiting till 4am-6am for my PS3 to autodownload does not count.. This idea implies for it to post immediately.. Ok here is an analogy when you smack someone in the face they feel the contact immediately right? What is going on now is you slap the air… wait wait wait… syncing with server.. then smack they get hit.. That is not what we want! Ok end of message. Thanks for reading.

Now that we have PS Plus it isn’t as much of a bother, but, most people aren’t subscribers, and it can be a pain in the butt if you go for several days without syncing. I use too have ta hit sync then leave for 15-20 min till it was done.

This really should be looked into I don’t understand what everyone is not seeing. Lets say god forbid you get a platinum in Demons souls than right after the PS3 were to break. You than will lose that platinum since there was no time to sync with the server.

This honestly is not fair and really its strange how the 360 can have instant syncing achievements but we cant have the same for trophy’s.
