Who wants to scroll down through hundreds of downloaded content? Make some sort of filter. Dont make demos downloaded disappear. i bought the unlock key but the demo disappeared, hard time finding it.

Yes i hate the fact that i have to go through hundreds of demos and stuff to find a game i purchased way back in launch lol. I mean it works how it is but would be a lot more convenient. Some people its fine but since i have had a connection to the store since launch I have a huge Download List.

GREAT IDEA!!!!
I posted this same thing in the Playstation GAP area. This should be an easy thing to add and would be very nice. Being able to sort/search in the downloaded content area of the PSN by name, or type would be a huge improvement.
For instance, it’s such a pain to find Qore when the new episodes are ready.

This is something I’ve wanted for a long time. Once your download list climbs over 100, it’s an extremely tedious task to go back and find something when they are organized only by date of purchase/download.
A good way to remedy this would be to simply allow organization of the download list. Give us a Demo, Media, Game, DLC, etc. section.

I agree with that statement, its hard to find a game to download that i paid for on PSN

DocDucks | March 17th, 2010 at 4:11 pm
Awesome idea, I myself have had this problem

ILOVEPLASTATION3 | March 17th, 2010 at 4:25 pm
This is a great idea! The download list should definitely be categorical and efficient to the user without them having to lose past downloads or scroll through the whole list to the bottom.

Brilliant! This has caused me all kinds of grief in the past!

Sponge-worthy | March 17th, 2010 at 4:51 pm
I recently had a YLoD. I have nearly 500 items in my download list–so yeah, not fun.

Sponge-worthy | March 17th, 2010 at 4:56 pm
Another option would be if I wanted to re-downloaded, say, Wipeout HD, I could simply browse the store to the game where an option to download, rather than purchase, would appear.

Searching is nice because I didn’t have to submit this as my first idea.
The download list should be re-imagined as a local PlayStation Store for the user. Call it “My.PlayStation.Store”. You should be able to view all your purchases and downloads via category links such as Demos, Video, Themes, Movies, TV Shows, etc.
It truly is a pain to scroll through my list to download the latest episode of Qore.

YES.
SORTING is available in other places on the XMB – make it available here. Sorted by title, date of purchase, etc.
GROUPING by title, type, etc.
Also I agree whole-heartedly with the simple idea that when you’re browsing the store you should be able to re-download directly, contextually from the item page.

kowhoho | March 17th, 2010 at 9:31 pm
To be honest the Store could be a bit neater too. I check it regularly so it’s enough for me to just look at the “recently added” or whatever. Other people who aren’t familiar with the store may have trouble finding what they want.

brose_one | March 18th, 2010 at 12:13 am
this would make the happiest kid on the block! probably my only complaint about the ps3.

KBG29 | March 18th, 2010 at 3:08 am
I am so sick of running through 80 downloads to find the next episode of Qore. Please let us seperate purchased content, and even search or purchased content.
Thank You

SpankyDuckButter | March 18th, 2010 at 3:38 am
I agree completely, over 400 items in my list, pain in the butt to find the key and the demo in that list.

KILLZONE79 | March 18th, 2010 at 8:55 am
@ 11
Try running through 600 downloads to find qore
that really bugs me!

kNoWlEdGe22 | March 18th, 2010 at 11:12 am
I agree… I have A LOT of things on my DL list and searching for something is very difficult… you should be able to categorize by game, demo, add-on, etc…

EvilAaron | March 18th, 2010 at 12:23 pm
my DL list is 500 long lol I need filter and search function cause as it is its crazy pain to find old purchases.

Koimia | March 18th, 2010 at 12:56 pm
yes! sort it by game title even (like the store) would make things so much easier
20
inVanity | March 18th, 2010 at 2:02 pm
Press Square and you can make folders.
21
AguilarX | March 18th, 2010 at 2:30 pm
yes guys, thanks for supporting this idea. i had my ps3 ylod a while back and had to go through 500 items in my download list. its even confusing when i dont know if i should download the demo again and then 100 items scrolled through later, theres this unlock key to go with the demo. confusing!

Flynn_Arrowstarr | March 18th, 2010 at 5:05 pm
Being able to sort the items by game and/or platform would be great. I have a ton of stuff for Little Big Planet, for example. Being able to pull up a list by game title and then have a download all button would be great for restoring everything after a hard drive crash.

darklightmatter | March 18th, 2010 at 5:48 pm
Yes, this would be great. I’d like to create a folder for demos, for example. If you’re a frequent purchaser of games on PSN, it can all start to get a bit messy.
24
fane1024 | March 18th, 2010 at 6:47 pm
@inVanity
mywhitenoise clearly stated he (?) is using the folders. He (?) wants there to be sorting options within the folders like there are for Music, Video, etc.
Oh, and you press Triangle to make the folders.

I completely agree with this, in addition to the catergories above we should add PSP purchases. It is such a pain having a huge download list. I have over 400 things to browse through and it’s rapidly growing. Not to mention if you have two or more users on your PS3 that’s even more to go through.
26
Raelyk | March 20th, 2010 at 10:54 pm
Agreed! Especially being able to sort by purchased, title, Subsriptions, and even when viewing a title in the store it would have a comment that says “purchased. Download again?”
27
Dadon85 | March 21st, 2010 at 5:12 pm
Would be nice if I could delete a few things from the downlaod history list.(Demos I’ll never play again)
28
XanLen | March 22nd, 2010 at 1:24 am
You have my vote. Trying to sort through all the downloads becomes quite a task after you’ve owned a PSN account for a while.

Xervai | March 22nd, 2010 at 2:45 pm
Was going to share this as a new idea, glad you can search. Please update the store downloads to be easily searchable by
PSP
– Games
– Demos
– Add-ons (DLC)
– Videos
– Comics
– Themes
PS3
– Games
– Demos
– DLC
– Comics/other (like Qore)
– Themes
All things need to be sortable by purchase Date, Title (in DLCs case, original game title), and published date
Thanks

Excellent. I submitted this idea too, but looks like you beat me to it. I suggested integrating a “Download Again” feature into the PSN Store. They already have the interface in place, might as well use it.

Zepinephrine | March 23rd, 2010 at 2:48 pm
even a simple search would help alot.

bioboost | March 24th, 2010 at 1:24 pm
I was just going to post a suggestion about that but alas here it is with a major approval for it’s integration in psn .

sleepyenglish | March 26th, 2010 at 9:05 am
Was about to post the same idea, my suggestion being using the triangle button to filter the purchased items from the free stuff. Better yet a “My Store” where I can browse using the A-Z etc to browse what ive already downloaded.
34
Div3r5ity | March 26th, 2010 at 2:57 pm
damn i should have searched this first, just wasted an idea for the day hahahaha. i agree with this idea 100% i got like 400 items in mine
35
FrozoneUSMC | March 26th, 2010 at 5:01 pm
At the very least give me a section for my annual Qore downloads!!
36
DeadSpider | March 27th, 2010 at 2:15 am
If anything have a filter to show/not show Demos lol
A few years worth of demos overwhelms the DL List big time. Remove Demos and viewing past DL’s would be so much more pleasant.
And yes, Sections for Subscriptions would be great too.

So True! Great Idea!

Otaku1975 | April 5th, 2010 at 6:37 pm
I wanted to suggest this also. I’ve reformatted my hard drive a couple of times (once for installing bigger hard drive and second for taking out Other OS) and it’s a pain to have to scroll through hundreds of items to find the ones I need to re-download. Giving an option to delete items from this list would help also (only free items that are always available anyway).

Kamahl_rg | April 5th, 2010 at 11:03 pm
i suggested the same thing long ago and my idea was never approved, but yes, i agree
40
AmnesiaInnocent | April 6th, 2010 at 6:36 am
Not to mention trying to find your Qore subscription…
41
liquidypoo | April 7th, 2010 at 1:47 am
Brilliant.

Corbie | April 7th, 2010 at 7:27 pm
Yea Kamahl, I dont even know when I submitted this idea..
its been over 2 weeks probably more? And it just showed up 2 days ago

Traz_Heart | April 8th, 2010 at 11:36 pm
Make the PSN Download screen look like a XMB sorted into Video, PS3, PSP, PS1.
Have under Video as well as PS1 be sorted by # and A-Z.
Have The PS3, PSP, be sorted by Demo, Minis, Addons, Games. Then under each by # A-Z.
For Addons have it subfolder into each perticular game as well.
44
BalramRules | April 15th, 2010 at 10:50 am
good point, perhaps we should have themes for the PlayStation Store too =P
45
brose_one | April 15th, 2010 at 8:15 pm
isn’t there a sorting option? or does it auto-sort according to the order you’ve played the game.
*i load games so i can move them around on my trophy list.
46
KainDrake | April 15th, 2010 at 8:36 pm
@darklightmatter
you can make forlders. you press square to cycle through different sorting options and if you want to make a specific forlder, press triangle. look at the space that says album. enter a name there and that becomes a folder.
47
KainDrake | April 15th, 2010 at 8:38 pm
i agree with this. i want my game series to be together. i want megaman 9 to be with megaman 10, not five games appart.
48
thunderbear | April 28th, 2010 at 9:27 pm
You can already sort your games and demos? I have folders (called albums on your PS3) for all my games, “shooters”, “platformers” etc.
And the same with video, music, photos.

Sir_Toby | April 30th, 2010 at 12:09 am
Also would be nice to sort items by additional categories. For example, I’ve downloaded a number of Rock Band songs and track packs, as well as all of the expansions for Burnout Paradise. If I need to download all of the items for one of those games, its a huge hassle to sort through the downloads list to find all of the individual items.

Yes, PSN Store need to improve filters on browse search.
Maybe with checkbox like this:
search
[your search option]
[x]PS3 Games [ ]PS1 Classic [ ]Themes [ ]Demos
[ ]Add On etc…
