The PlayStation Store needs to have community reviews on all their products; from games, movies, demos, ect. The ratings can be from 1 to 5 stars. 1 being the lowest, 5 being the highest rating.
A five star rating for PlayStation Store items was implemented in firmware 3.40. http://bit.ly/aTeC3M

Simple and great idea. I’m for it.

Interesting idea. Perhaps similar to what itunes does. People can write a little paragraph about what they bought and give it a star rating. Would definitely save me from buying crappy psn games. XD

While I’d love to see it happen, I don’t think developers would be so happy if the first thing a consumer sees is “This game suXXX!”.
It’s an honest system, but I don’t see it happen. Sorry.

This idea would work very well!
Some games that i’ve bought on the PSN have been not very enjoyable, and i would love for a rating system to be implemented so it will help out others.

Great idea, there are many great games out there that are being overlooked because of games which are marketed well by known publishers.

Good idea, but only if validated to make sure voter has purchased through the PSN, to prevent invalid spamming.

Yeah I’m with #6. People should be able to vote and review only after they’ve bought the game. Otherwise it’s a popularity contest.

This is a great idea. This should happen.

At the bare minimum it should be executed the way Apple lets people rate apps in the App Store.

I’m with you guys, so often I’ve bought crappy games or the wrong version of a game on psn and virtual console

This is a must have feature! But only for people who have bought the game or movie or what ever your rating.

Another game console (which shall remain nameless) uses this same idea and it has been very popular. Please make this happen Sony!

Not sure about written reviews as you’ll end up with a lot of nonsense/flaming. Ratings like the 360′s 5 star system would be good though for all content.

I suggested this as well, it is a wonderful idea. There have been time I want to see how my peers think of a video that I was thinking about purchasing.

I almost wrote this idea down on the blog share as well. This is an excellent idea that I think would improve customer experience as well as sales for Sony. In english, It’s good!

We’ll get the reviews online anyway – especially since PSN offers barely no information on a game.
Reviews on the PSN would probably need to much management (for moderation), but ratings would be welcome.
Average global ratings. Average ratings from friends.

@imajinetion
They could have the reviews not show up unless they are approved.
For example they could decline short/pointless reviews, And accept good/well thought out reviews. (not necessarily decline all bad reviews, but ones that say stuff like “this game sucks” and nothing else)

LMAO!!!!
I really didn’t think there was anyone stupid enough out there to actually EXPLAIN a 5 star rating!!! This is Hilarious- 1 being lowest and 5 being highest lololololololololololol
Who would actually think anything else? oh my friends are gonna love this 1-your name is now imbedded in my memory TQcast!

Foxy_Bob_Ross | July 8th, 2010 at 11:14 pm

They already have the 5star rating system.

Reaper_106 | September 21st, 2010 at 12:14 am
They already did this. I’m not sure why they didn’t put it in the ‘Ideas in Action’ :/
