I would vote 1000 times yes! please make this happen. You have nothing to lose! How much could it cost to improve something that barely needs fixing. All it needs is frame rate improvement, hit detection, some glitch fixes, CODE 9 bye bye, and decrease the strength of the M14 a little, and IW. I don’t even care about the graphics!

Sony please either release S2 on the PSN to download and play on my PS3 or bring out Socom 2 HD. 8v8 same maps etc… keep it simple.

Why not make Socom 2 in HD. The best Socom out of all Socoms was Socom 2. It would make sense to fix it up and make it look pretty and know that it would sell. There may be a possibility of a few minor fixes here or there, but as an overall whole, if it was to be re-made, it sounds like a great idea.

Please Sony, just remake Socom 2 and up the graphics, fix bugs. Add MLG gamebattles support some new maps. That’s it, you’ll sell like crazy. A lot of people want this, please listen to us.

Socom 2 would definitely be pretty fun! I wouldn’t mind having a 3rd person shooter where people can’t just aim then shoot and get those ridiculous headshots! “Dude is aiming at your feet, boom head shot!” I want a game where head shots take pure skill.

Look, SONY if you guys re-release this game it would bring mad revenue to the company and I know how much you guys love the moolah, so you guys can make up for lost console sales. It’s very selfish of you guys to keep it all to yourselves spread the love yo. You don’t have to go to the extent in re-making the whole game from ground up like some people are asking. I can’t understand why people would vote no. If you are/were a true Socom fan, this game should be one that you’ve been praying to come for a while now, especially on the magnitude of changes as they are describing to make. For the rest of you, vote yes, don’t ruin this opportunity for the mass majority of the community (who if knew about this) would have/be voting yes for it. Plus, let’s be real Confrontation is getting boring, this would be a great fresh way to bring in Socom 4!!!

I think this would be a great move! SOCOM II is the epic game that all SOCOM players are looking for. This will satisfy all old gamers and make new gamers enjoy the real SOCOM

The game that made the PS2′s online what it was, and should be again. With refined and improved hit detection along with less spray (improved weapons)?

This game would be a huge PSN hit, and would be even more amazing with 30+ multiplayer maps, along with some campaign co-op sold on a disc.

It’s amazing to think after all this time there is such a cult following for a ps2 game!

Sony would be crazy not to see that with only a few minor improvements there’s incredible potential for Socom 2 on the PS3/PSN.

I would love if they upgraded Socom 2 for the PS3. Just upgrade the maps to HD quality and fix the bugs. Because there were way to many glitches in that game. But like I said upgrade graphics and fix all the glitches an I will BUY it ASAP!!!!!!

I don´t understand all this shizzle, but by taking the mag engine wouldn´t you riks to still change how the game originally was?

use the S2 engine, if possible fix the hit system.

to me the graphics don’t even need to be changed just get the game back how it was, no cheats, and a good server.
