GILLEY, you’re getting new maps in S4. This is about getting S2 HD or SOCOM Classic (more ideal IMO). I really don’t get why anyone would be against this happening. I think it’d be a huge success – PSN or otherwise – and it would surely sell more than Confrontation.

I want a Socom Old skool pack with socom maps from 1 2 & combined assult in HD with guns from socom 2 and movements from socom 2, and no snap to cover, and no sprint button, and I also will not buy socom 4 becasuse of this

I never played a game that captured my attention for 5 years period. I buy new games and the multiplayers keep me interested for maybe a month and then their repetitive. People have made various attempts to petition for s2 to be re-released on the PS store and what not but its failed to happen. There will never be a game like SOCOM 2 again, the shooting style so diverse with the movement allowing your character to feel like you have complete control, you could be a one man army, if your good enough. S2 will always be apart of my life and other games will remain to suck.

Candy I would have to respectfully disagree with you…its true that all the PS2 socoms ran in 480 P but I have a hdtv that does 480 I,480 P,720 P,1080I,and 1080P and i have my PS2 hooked up using an HDMI cables and it really shows all the imperfections in the graphics…..so i say HD socom all the way…..but i think if Socom4 does really well they might not bother with socom1 or 2 in hd

YES! Multiplayer Socom 2. Maybe the description is not clear enough that you are talking about a multiplayer HD remake of Socom 2, and not the entire game including single player. Only way to justify the no votes. That or people not knowing and or realizing it was the best multiplayer shooter on the PS2. AMAZING that “players” come here, log in and vote no to this.

Me and my uncle been waiting for something like this to come up since the new socom games are just too different from the originals.

If they would just make socom 2 in HD it would SELL ALOT trust me, we both have 56 in samsung tv’s and the old socom games look like crap on them cause they arent HD.

There are lots and lots of people who dont even buy games anymore because none of them are like the old socoms, I dont know why they just didnt stick to the formula why did they have to go make the game feel all slow.

If socom 1-3 were made in hd omg that would be EPIC!!! but if only one of those games can be changed to HD I would stick to socom2.
Lets hope they atleast do that for all us socom old timers who have stuck by the socom franchise since the beginning!
The god of war games were put in HD so why not socom??
