This would be amazing! Socom 2 was the best Socom that was ever released and if you haven’t already realized that yet, then you shouldn’t even own a Socom game. Resurrecting this game from all of the “Code 9′ers” and hackers, updating the graphics, and tweaking the small issues would make this game even better than it used to be. This is the game I couldn’t wait to play when I got home. Please make that a reality again. Trust me, this a huge money train, and we all know that’s the ONLY thing you people care about.

Socom 2 multiplayer was hands down the best gaming experience I ever had, I still talk about the days of PS2 Socom’s. I still remember hiding in the weeds on Blood Lake or extracting hostages on Death Trap. No game has ever come close to the adrenaline rush i would get. I would pay full price and buy all DLC for Socom 2-HD.

I don’t like the new games with the perks and weapon upgrades… just give me a gun, an objective and let me have some fun.

With the new info on Socom 4 how could you not vote for Yes for Socom 2 HD. Socom 4 is turning into a COD/MAG/Uncharted game something that Socom was never about. Those of you voting for no are complete morons. If you don’t want to play this game or could careless about it than move on and play a different game but there are 6,200+ Socom fans that would like to see this go through.

i was just reading comments from the start of this whole voting system and a lot of ppl voted based on thinking socom 4 was gonna be like the older versions and bring back that good socom feeling but now that they know its not what do they say now? now that they know socom 4 will be just any other game can they just remake s2?????? until this happens i will continue to play my old ps2 combined assault and COD….black ops sucks but better than socom confrontation and socom 4

Socom 2 was the greatest video game ever made period. I played it everyday for 2 years straight. I reminisce playing this game with all my friends, having clan battles till 6 in the morning. Man, I would pay top dollar for this game just to get that feeling back. I really hope someone can make this game happen. I baught Socom 4 confrontation the day of release, played it for about 2 weeks, hasnt bin touched since. WE NEED TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!!

Release this about a year after SOCOM 4. It would sell by the truck load and it wouldn’t require much effort on the part of Zipper. Spruce up the graphics, update the gameplay a bit, fix the hacks and watch the game sell.

Make this happen.

I don’t like Gears of War and Socom 4 looks very similar. Sony told Zipper to make a GOW for the PS3 and slap Socom on the box to sell more copies.

I can’t believe what I heard about SOCOM 4 is true!! They took out all the things that made great, and added the exact opposite things!! It pisses me off that the game modes om SOCOM 4 are respawn oriented! How do you not have breach, escort, extraction OR demolition. Also the thing that pisses me off the most is that how in the hell is there no more lobbies!!!

I would buy rather buy SOCOM II HD for $60 than buy the horrible excuse of a SOCOM that is SOCOM 4…..

Anyone who doesn’t think this is an amazing idea doesn’t know anything about socom. Socom II released in HD would revive the socom community and would produce months and hopefully years worth of fun and the socom experience. Socom 4 will be a complete fail and will die in under 2 months. They refuse to listen to the community and it will bite them yet again at our expense.

SOCOM II by far was/is the best in the series! it was at that point where Zipper said ” wow ppl really like our game lets do exactly what we did with SOOCM I, but add new maps and a few new things” …. then SOCOM 3 was ” lets copy what other games are doing…add vehicles and shit!” … and its been down hill since then… Zipper needs to take it back to that 1st idea of “do what the ppl like” not “copy whats in other games ppl like”

Funny thing is here is what the poll list for Socom II HD to include:

Release SOCOM II HD
-New HD engine based off MAG
-Use MAGs network & server stack-no lag
-Fix the hit detection- assume that would be fixed if using mag engine
-Create an in-game clan match system

And this is exactly what Socom 4 is doing. LOL.

This idea should be a no brainer for Zipper.
The first ever online game I ever played was SOCOM 1, SOCOM 2 only exceeded my expectations and gave birth to an online experience like no other and still to this day after trying just about every other online shooter SONY has ever launched on the Playstation I have not felt that online experience since. This amazes me, considering the power of the PS3, how ZIPPER have managed to ruin every attempt at a new SOCOM since S2 is ridiculous.
You had the perfect recipe, the flavor was fantastic (apart from the cheats) and yet you have just kept on adding the salt until all that your loyal supporters were left with was a sour taste in their mouths that just won’t go away. by revamping S2 in HD and easy on the salt this time, keep the taste sweet.

It can’t be that difficult…. I am sick of playing COD with it’s crappy respawn and honestly hate the game, but I keep playing it because you guys refuse to offer us anything descent, I traded SOCOM CONF for COD Black Opps and if u guys won’t listen to what your loyal fans want and have been asking for for all these years then you will loose out in the long run.

The only game’s that gave me the feeling of “teamwork” and “skills” were Socom 2
Gears of war 1 and Medal of honor breakthrough on the PC.
If Socom 2 HD comes out for PS3, i would bury my Xbox360 and buy a PS3 & Socom 2 HD

Been a fan since Socom I. Played Socom II, until the code 9ers ruined it for everyone. But will buy in a heartbeat. And socom 4? what’s all this bs with no lobby, put it this way, after buying COD 1. it was the last time i bought a game that doesn’t have a lobby and clan meet etc. Give us something that we want. Socom II. Die hard Socomers will definitely buy Socom II over Socom 4. So I vote YeS!!!! Bring it back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please release Socom 2 HD. There are many people (including myself) who would pay a full $60 for Socom 2 free of bugs, glitches, cheaters.

Socom 4 is coming out whether we like it or not, but at least realize the money you came make off the vets who just want S2 back. Socom 2 HD would pay for itself three times over if you put it on PSN.

No lobbys ? …randomly thrown into a quick match ?…that screams Call Of Duty all day long.

I have never purchased MAG or Battlefield Bad company, because i liked socoms game play better then any game out there …but i have to admit …i may not be purchasing the next socom 4 either. You guys at zipper have strayed drastically from socom 2.

And now i’m hearing their is no more lobbys’ or pistols …no more demolitions or supressions ? …i will be done with socom for ever …sorry guys , its been a long and fun relatinship , but i will find a new game to play if this next socom 4 is a big fat fail…i will be watching you tube responces before i even waste my money

If this poll was made after the Socom 4 MP info was released, the result would be that the overwhelming majority would have voted YES.

Unfortunately because it was created prior to Socom 4 MP info, many people would have voted no thinking socom 4 would be a true hd socom experience. This we all know now is not true.
