Just as long as PSN doesnt mess up like it did goin from Feb to March, i lost all my trophies on dante’s inferno. i had to start all over gettin them. other than that. this is a great idea. i use playfire sometimes for my trophy card and the numbers and percents dont match up, so this would be a awesome step forward for Playstation.

They should totally do it… Would be great for sites like Giantbomb.com so you can have all your data on one site!

Certainly. It would be neat if there’s a handy RSS/XML support that we can use.

Hmmm… not sure if this will work..
Why not make trophies something people WANT to get. Alot of people don’t care about them, others only play games for trophies..
This isn’t good at all..!
Let’s make trophies attractive.. there must be something.. I’m sure. If there’s something, Sony can fix it..!

This would go a long way towards legitimizing PS3 trophies.

Perhaps have the trophies worth a small amount each so you can spend the earnings in the PSN store for all the UK version is worth. That way this will encourage people to play their games and both parties benefit

This would be useful for PC/Mac and smartphone users alike. I like the idea of receiving a notification on my BlackBerry Storm that a friend sent me a message on the PSN, and replying to that same message on the go.

BlackBerry has opened up their push-notification system to all devs recently, so having a PSN API available to smartphone devs to make such an app would be very useful in my opinion.

Having access to PSN API could help to improve other PS3 gamercard sites as well.

I really don’t understand why this doesn’t exist already.

But of course the trophies have to sync automatically with the PSN after you get them first, so we don’t have to sync them manually on the PS3.

And with this API’s the info would be easily accessible and usable on the web, again I don’t understand what took them so long.

Do it sony, I really think it is troublesome the way it is now.

I love this idea. I share my trophy card I created at PS3Trophies.com on my personal webpage. My best friend and I are always comparing our trophies. Other friends have been showing an interest in buying a PS3 because they like the trophy feature.

Absolutely !
This is exactly the type of communities that really boost the whole PS3 gaming industry and ecosystem. You have to give tools to make the community even stronger…!!

HuDaFuK  |  March 19th, 2010 at 4:58 am

PS3Trophies.org already has this feature, but I stil use PS3Trophies.com because I find the guides and forum better. Be great if they added this as well!

if you people could figure out how to use an api why cant you figure out how to use something like curl & preg match.

an api would make it easier but definatly not something that important.
