Canadians have been asking for video/comic content for all PSPs in Canada for a while now. What’s really the dissapointing part is that Playstation haven’t done or said squat about this

I think this is a given eventually, but the sooner the better!

I would appreciate receiving occasional updates in reference to what obstacles Sony are dealing with in bringing video and comics to Canada, or for that matter whether they even have the will to do so.

@Zephram I agree! It’s very frustrating not having any idea why there has been such a large delay in setting up a Canadian video store… it would be great to get at least an update from Sony.

Yes, please bring the video store to Canada! Apple has, but they want me to buy an AppleTV. I already have a PS3…so just open up the store, SONY, please and thanks!

I’ve been waiting for the video store to show up in Canada for a very long time. This would be excellent.

… Only Americans would vote no to Canada actually be treated equally.
I wouldn’t mind if we just got an explanation as to why we don’t have a video or comic book store.

I’m no legal expert but from what i’ve read companies are worried about providing us with digital content because we don’t have laws that give protection for that content. we are a world leader in digital piracy. If we want this kind of content I think we need to start pressuring our MLA’s to push through such laws

While browsing the PSN comics twitter a few weeks back, they revealed the issue currently with the Canadian store. It seems the application has issues with running multiple languages per country.

As for the video store, ask for a twitter account to bug.

@Jak-1985 Hell no. We don’t need more restrictions on content.
When given the choice average people will pay and not pirate as long as the price is right. I’ll point at the iTunes/amazon music store as an example. I’m pretty sure they’re making a mint.

Id really like this as well.

FletchMan16 | March 18th, 2010 at 12:28 pm
Absolutely! Since we can buy the paper versions of these comics, it would stand to reason that the digital versions should be easy to purchase as well.

vincentmanga | March 18th, 2010 at 3:39 pm
yes we should have video and comic in our store like the USA it would be cool

Guys please stop griping Sony over this Canada has major rules about access to programs in Canada with min Canadian content… french content, etc. I’m with you I really want this and wish the policies would lighten up since it’s so accessible on the internet. BUT it’s not Sony’s fault. This is a great post and continue to support it please just don’t blame Sony for taking to long I guarantee it’s not their fault. But Sony it would be nice to be left in the loop a little and at least told what efforts are being made or at least stand up for you’re selves and let us know you’re struggles. Maybe you can even let us know of where we can voice our opinions to the CRA in order to assist in making this happen.

Considering that I can log in to my EUR PS account and download comics, and my USA PS account and download comics .. I’m starting to not care if it comes to Canada at all, because I’m certainly not going to re-purchase what I’ve already bought!
At this point I’d rather be able to have two accounts authorized on my PSP at once so I don’t have to keep switching back and forth to enjoy content.
*shrug*

@Jak-1985
Why the hell would I ask a provincial politician to amend a federal law? That makes no snese. You need to talk to MP’s.

Until we start getting the comics here in Canada I will not be purchasing a PSP. It is the only reason I haven’t yet. Have been tempted to purchase the Chains of Olympus bundle but passed and will now probably pass on this new Big Boss bundle unless this magically becomes available.

GAMEWIZ_101 | April 10th, 2010 at 6:35 pm
I would recommend you to buy the Big Boss Bundle mostly for how much you can get from it. 4GB Memory Stick, Metal Gear Solid USB, Grennish PSP and the carrying case. It’s not everyday that you can get a budle with a carrying case and a different color psp so go for it

Heck yes, with the Kick-Ass commics just released, I really want to read them on my PSP Go. Although movies and TV shows, would be awesome, I’m almost certain that there are legal issues with rating systems and other problems… Just give us the comics already!!!

Xbox Live has a Canadian Video store too! Of course it wasnt available from the start but they got it to Canada a lot quicker than it is taking Sony to. If your competitors can get the same video content you are offering in the states, into Canada, then there is no excuse for you.
