Idea 3635 | Posted in , by | March 18, 2010

Increase the audence of the feature request/share system to the entire PS3 masses. Add an opt-in area to the XMB to view, submit and vote on features directly from the system.

Which is why I said optional. Something like how PlayStation Home is. If you want to use it, THEN you install it. Otherwise it is just offered.

I think adding an icon for PS.Blog Share on the XMB is a great idea.

Most of the people here are core gamers yet the demographic buying ps3′s is very diverse. Not that I want someone who just bought a ps3 for Blu-ray voting down all my important gamer stuff but if 50% of the ps3 users are just Blu-ray, casual fanatics I think their opinion is important if they make up that much of the demographic.

Also, on the XMB it’s more accessible and Sony knows majority of votes are coming from actual ps3 owners and not other system owners trying to sway votes.

It would be interesting if it could open up on the XMB like the PSN store, displaying 3 ideas, one popular, one active and another random to insure equal visibility to all ideas. You would then be able to vote right away.

If you’d want to browse or comment on the ideas the app would open the web page in the browser, instantly logging you in.

duplicate of 1796. We have a better chance of getting our ideas implemented if we stick to 1 submission :/
