I would have the option to also hear the game sound on the headset. This would allow for greater privacy when you play alone at night. Besides that, in racing games, would give a sense of adrenaline.

I do like the idea, having voted it up. But I’m concerned about the quality of the sound with that small speaker on the headset. Plus, most, if not all, TV’s have a headphone plug-in, providing you’re playing offline and do not need a headset.

It’d be a lot better to just have a stereo bluetooth function. So you could use real headphones.

This certainly needs to be an option, and an official stereo headset with mic would be good too.

Exactly one option to be enabled.

No! Bluetooth sounds horrible. And this would make it hard to hear the people you’re playing with

i would really like this option. i have a usb plug-in headset which is nice but its kinda of a waste to only use it for chating. i really would like to hear the ingame sounds too. i dont know if the reason it hasnt been done is because its just not possible to route the sound data through the usb hub but if it is, please do it. what make the ps3 awesome is choice, the choice to watch blu-ray movies, the choice to use HOME, the choice to buy a third party 500gb harddrive instead of 120 $ for 250gb. the choice of not being an x-bot. so please let us have choice.

Having stereo sound through the headset would be great.
If you can do it on Sony Ericsson phones, why can’t you do it on PS3?

I presumed game sound would work with my Nokia Bluetooth headphones, but to my disapointment it only works for voice chat.

I believe this is called Ad2p support and I would love this. I have some Sony bluetooth headphones and it would be great to use them for this.

Depending on how the speakers are set-up you will be able to do that, unless you mean through blue-tooth?

If so (through blue-tooth), how would you be able to talk and hear surround sound through the same headset?

LAK3R50WN is correct it is called Ad2p support. Cell phones, tablets, mp3 players and computers all have it i don’t see why a $300 gaming system can’t. Most people say you won’t be able to hear the other person your playing with, but they forget not everyone plays multiplayer games. I stick to one player RPG; i got Road runner extreme and have never been interested in playing online games. Turtle beach are recommended by most, but unlike many I lay down while I’m playing, therefore not being able to use my LG Tone (HBS700) is a big disappointment. I constantly listen to them on cell phone for music and on pc for movies, music and games. I’ve even fallen asleep without realizing i still had them on. Many gamers want bluetooth headphones to be enveloped within the game, without disturbing others; Sony sells their own blutooth for the ps3 as well, but why would anyone pay $50 for microphone? Blutooth without A2DP support, is simply just a wireless microphone.
