Media server support upgrade

Idea 5509 | Posted in , , by | March 19, 2010

Streaming media (music) from my PC media server in-game. My 80 gig internal HD is full. External NTFS HD support for games and music could also fix this.

If you are doing NTFS might as well do Ext3 and Ext4. Make it future-proof.

Ntfs support would be sufficent!
I have external drives on which my movie and music are stored. To play them on the ps3 i have to copy them to an fat32 drive which is not suitable.
The other option to stream them to my ps3 via dlna is not suitable to, because my ps3 is connected through wifi and the b/g standard the ps3 uses is simply not fast enough!

I just want support for my DHCP server to stream music while I’m playing games that support in-game music soundtracks!

Best PS3 Media Server I have seen to date.

Has decent quality Wifi streaming you may want to try. The author created it after using others that didn’t live up to his expectations.

Sony offers a nice one too. Don’t know why they haven’t promoted it much:
