mindloss | March 20th, 2010 at 7:18 am
No, you’d only be able to transfer your trophies to a NEW account where there aren’t any trophies already. Then you CAN’T get trophies on the old account anymore, it’s deactivated.

hahaha, wouldn’t be better if your idea was “the ability to change our PSN nickname to something else”

dave_da_player96 | March 20th, 2010 at 12:38 pm
sounds like a good idea might want to change my psn username but never really did it cause i already got all my trophies on this acount and i dont want to get them all over again.

This might be a good alternative to the request to allow for account renames. However, there would need to be a way to transfer purchases, also.

Since sub-accounts don’t automatically upgrade to Master Accounts when the user is over the age of 18, they can never take advantage of all the features that master accounts offer – like Facebook connectivity. Being able to transfer all trophies earned from a sub-account to a brand new master account one time would make things friggin awesome. I’d have my four platinum trophies back, along with the 591 other trophies I earned in my sub account.

Easto1a | March 21st, 2010 at 3:09 am
maybe sony would do this if there was liek a 50p charge
Or just pay 50p ($0.50 sorta thing) to change your psn name
13
NewYorkDaLES | March 21st, 2010 at 9:40 am
this idea good i feel it would be better if we can edit our screen name and change it that way so we wont lose trophies , friends list , info etc.

fatherbrainSRK | March 22nd, 2010 at 6:14 pm
Interesting idea, BUT the only way to make it fair (for people who sre trying to get their trophies legitly) is to transfer them to a new profile ONLY and permanently delete the old one after.

velkrZero | March 22nd, 2010 at 6:16 pm
or even better.. just let us rename our current PSN ID.
16
oFelipeNFo | March 22nd, 2010 at 6:19 pm
What is the huge mistake?
17
fane1024 | March 22nd, 2010 at 6:31 pm
This has already been posted, as has the counter-argument that we should be able to re-name our PSN ID.

liquidypoo | March 22nd, 2010 at 6:56 pm
Already pointed out, but this is totally a repeat

NotoriousGamer | March 23rd, 2010 at 12:31 am
Just get a new PSN ID and get the trophies back.

I’m OK with this… but would be so much easy the possibility to change your psnid, address and your country, seeing at the point of php programmer like me

kingchris28 | March 23rd, 2010 at 2:39 pm
anything to allow us to change our username but keep trophies, even if it is a one time only thing. I would honestly pay a small amount of money as a handling fee to allow this
31
cell989 | March 23rd, 2010 at 6:14 pm
@NotoriousGamer
are you out of your mind? you know how much work it goes into getting some of this trophies? Do you know how much of a sacrifice that is!!!!! Hu? do you!!!! hu!!!
Ok Ok I apologize I wnet too far, but still having to play all the game again to get all your trophies back is not an option.

YES!
35
jellybabycarnage | March 24th, 2010 at 2:28 am
I too suggested renaming as I hate my psn id. We should be allowed at least one change as I too don’t want to lose my trophies and multiplayer levels

kowhoho | March 24th, 2010 at 3:59 pm
I have a simple problem that would be solved by this. I want to capitalize the K in my name but doing so would lose all of my trophies.
40
XZUMER | March 24th, 2010 at 4:46 pm
I love the idea, however, I don’t think they will make it happen, because someone could get your password and then steal your trophies. I wouldn’t want to lose my 14 platinums forever.
41
Logger-SP | March 25th, 2010 at 9:08 pm
Muito boa ideia !
42
OhDiosaWari | April 7th, 2010 at 11:34 pm
so…there’s no way to do this by now, right?? i’ve created another psn account and i also want to transfer my trophies…even they’re not a lot..
43
BalramRules | April 15th, 2010 at 11:17 am
AMAZIN! XD
But if someone manages to hack ya account, I’ll lose ALL my Platinum Trophies FOREVA! XO
But I understand and LOVE the concept =P
44
Detective-E | April 18th, 2010 at 7:18 pm
yeah so people would just give away trophies or sell them just to make someone else seem like they earned it.. horrible idea
45
chrisg88wb | May 4th, 2010 at 7:15 am
I can’t believe that sony will not do this, its really pretty godd damm lame.
Such an easy thing to add to the sony playstation experience, to give the ability to change PSN ID and keep trophies.
This has to be done, on a yearly limit or for a fee.
Please stop replying to these kind of messages, just make a new ID and start over again. NO!, I have 9 platinum trophies for crying out loud.

Me and my friends all have over a thousands trophies each easy. With 5 of us, we could get 3 quarters of the way to ten thousand. It’s just a dumb idea, I hate the term trophy whore but this would be the function for them. Do you NEED trophies? If trophies weren’t in games, would you stop playing them and pick up a book? Terrible idea. Too easily abused, not needed for sane people who use a single account and normal people that don’t obsess over every bronze trophy they have.
49
RBakic | June 29th, 2010 at 6:10 pm
Or maybe the ability to change the country.
We can re-accept the terms of service.

Odie1892 | July 9th, 2010 at 7:19 am
Easier fix would be if you could just change your PSN id. That way you’d keep all trophies saves etc, but have a new name
