to be able to select an icon from the XMB to submit a grief report. And, some feedback about if its been read, and if anything has been done. I dunno if anything’s ever been done about any of mine.
Grief reporting has been added to the XMB with update 3.50. The feature is located in the FRIENDS category. http://bit.ly/aFvJgi

I agree there should be some kind of integrated way to report players other than having to go on your PC or use the PS3′s browser.
However, feedback is something you won’t get. When you file a complaint, it even says that “SCEA does not disclose information regarding complaints…etc. etc.”
In other words, you report it and they take care of it. They’re not going to tell you what they did.

it would be nice . however . would it make it TOO EASY and have a bunch of peaple getting banned for false reporting . some people do stupid things in the heat of the moment but given time , can rethink .

@fuzzyclutter
Sony doesn’t just ban a user based on a complaint. There’s a process they go through to determine the validity of the complaint, etc.
There’s ALREADY a system for complaints in place for the PS3, only it’s on the Playstation.com website. This idea is simply asking for it to be integrated into the PS3 for easier access…

I would like a report button on the players met section.
@fuzzyclutter: What happen when they are given time and yet keep sending you abusive comments??? Those are the kind of people that we don’t want in the PlayStation community.

It makes it impossible to reporte in game cheating and also harassing messages on ps3. that other console has this readily available and it WORKS NOW. Making people jump through hoops to report cheating means it just doesnt happen. For most of us especially families the ps3 is often far away from the computer to go looking for the website & waste time digging for the report feature buried deep inside menu after menu after menu makes it unusable as is.
