Just add a link instead. Problem solved.

Putting up a link would mean hosting it or paying some hosting site to do so, which means it may end up costing money or just being a hassle. Making the image and having it hosted on here depending on size and content may mean a longer period before an idea is accepted for sharing, but it would be a lot simpler.

If anyone has the talent and skill to create mock-ups of a redesigned XMB, they will know how to post it to Photobucket and link it here. And if they are just posting something they find on the internet, it’s already hosted somewhere. It’s a non-issue.
If anyone doesn’t know how to do that stuff, they aren’t going to be coming up with anything that requires images.

Worth a thousand words.

Linking would take up characters in the text box, and you’re only given 200 at the moment.
Granted, you COULD put the link as the first comment if your idea gets approved quickly, but comments don’t show up unless the user clicks on the idea’s separate page.

We should at least have the option to add or edit a link into the description of the idea.
I’ve added photo links to a few of my ideas, but they come up in the comments, sometimes WAY down, and I don’t even know if anyone sees them, as many people just seem to read the title and vote up or down.
Also, if you add a full link then your comment gets held up as it needs to be ‘moderated’ for goodness knows how long. I removed the “htt”.. and the 3 “w”s but now readers need to copy and paste to follow the link.
Hoping there will be an easier way to add images or edit ideas soon.

I think a link option in the title to a image if one is available would be better. But voted up either way.
