Pretty funny how people thumbs down this idea. If it werent for sony then your asses wouldnt even be in this forum right now.
Sony brings families together, from movies, to t.v. shows, from games to especially blu ray. The ps3 is simply amazing.
Sure its not perfect but atleast they try.
Maybe you should be more thankful for what you have and instead of complaining you hypocritical pricks.

I like how you call anyone who downvoted
your “idea” as hypocritical pricks, but maybe
they’re downvoting it; because, it isn’t what
people consider an “idea” and yet Sony who
are moderating this place allowed it to be posted.
More than likely they have nothing against it,
but realize the fallacy that is got posted but
isn’t an “idea” so they downvoted it.
Though if you really want to get to the heart
of the matter; then you should really blame
Sony for putting the ability to downvote
every idea.
Now there’s an idea. Sony should allow only
up voting, and is users feel it’s at the
worth pointwise they just shouldn’t vote on it at all.

I respect that and understand where your coming from. Regardless of the fact there is nothing wrong with giving them a positive re inforcement cause no body has been more rude to sony then I have.
If they deal and put up with people like me on the daily basis then they deserve to have a little love thrown there way.
Granted its not a direct idea. However, its the idea of appreciation that should be valid here and thats why moderators approved it.
Trust me when I tell you that Sony knows who I am and this being posted by me is a huge deal in there eyes.

We pay Sony with our hard earned money. If it weren’t for OUR money and OUR support, Sony wouldn’t be here right now.
This is a place to make suggestions. Not a place to thank Sony. Go to the PlayStation forums if you want to thank them. That’s why you’re getting a thumbs down.

You know what?
The fact you came in here and told me why and gave me your view and opinion actually just earned you some respect.
It has to work both ways. Yes sony would not be here without us. On that same note we would not be spending out money on them if they sucked.
For me sony has offered the worst customer service experiences of all time and also brought my family together for some unforgettable pricesless moments.
A part of me honestly agrees with what you say though. Then on another note that last piece of go the forums wants me to give you the finger. You can express yourself in a respectful manner to me or you can go piss off.
Regardless, there are no hard feelings and I respect your opinion and thankyou for giving it.

It wasn’t disrespectful. It’s simply a fact. The forums are intended for general discussion. Share is specifically for ideas and suggestions. To be honest, I’m actually surprised what I said bothered you, especially considering the last line of your first comment.

Don’t even get me started. Sony has absolutely no customer respect, especially with what happened with update 3.21. They have completely forgotten that without us they would be nothing. Update 3.21 took away a feature from the original PS3′s, these are the hardy PS3 owners that kept Sony alive for the few hard years. Way to completely F**K over all your real supporters Sony.
YOU SUCK SONY. YOU WILL NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER SEE A CENT OF MY MONEY, AGAIN.

omg wow its interesting to see how people constantly come here tryin to prove somethin to themselves
and yet you still feel the need to come to the blog and yet let alone even sign-in considering your “done with sony” and say you wont get anymore of my money
if your done w/ sony what are you still doing here?

I bought the PS 3 for several reasons “Gaming,Movies & Pictures”, not for another “Geek Squad” tool, so geeks could play/hack around with it, just so they could get their “jollies”. So Kudo’s to Sony for Update Vers. update 3.21 for taking off the unnecessary “Install other OS Option” & Kudos to Combatsoldier for saying “Thank You” to Sony, I do understand where he is coming from.

I honestly completely respect and support your view. I hope that you find a happy solution and that Sony can work with you.
They are far from perfect and still have a long way to go for sure. Hopefully they will hear the out pouring of yourself and so many others that have felt completely screwed by there last update.
God Bless.

Never thank a company.
You gave them money,
they gave you a product.
And dedication………..
^^^companies don’t know such word
They only know of profit, it is their goal.
Sony should thank us, not the other way around.

AnthonyTonyMagic | April 7th, 2010 at 10:15 am
It’s not really an idea, but I appreciate this thread.
There’s a lot of hate around towards Sony, and a lot of negativity too.
It’s strange because even though the other console has issues, you see a lot less negativity on their sites. Maybe we are an older audience on PS Blog, more mature and grumpy.
I admit that Sony made a few mistakes over the years, but they’ve come through in many ways too. PS3 is a good system that has really begun to shine over the last year or so. The system has been upgraded many times for free, with new features added regularly.
In return for added features Sony just get complaints, some justified (3.21), but some completely unreasonable. People complain about Sony developing Home, saying that Sony should allocate their resources elsewhere. Who are we to tell them how to allocate their resources? Some users seem to think that they own the company, complaining when PSN is updated at a slightly different time each Thursday.
Yes, there are problems, but people should stop making such a big deal about little things. Be positive, or at least be constructive, say “thanks” every now and then, but don’t start the “F*** Sony” threads.
Thanks Combatsoldier too

Thanks sony for all you have contributed to technology and it’s developed.
Thank you in particular for the Playstation 3. Even when everyone but your hardcore fans counted you out, even when you were deeply in debt, you didn’t let up and funded tons of games by first party studios. And now your fans are reaping the benefits with a slew of fantastic games.
So thank you sony. Can’t wait to see your PSPhone, and the Playstation 3 I hope it kicks the iPhone and iPad in the nuts.

I have tons of respect for you brother. It appears that there is finally another adult or someone as old as I am on these damn things.
Your opinion, points and views were simply amazingly put and compeltely justified.
God Bless brother and send me a friend request on psn. I would be honored and inclined to accept it.

Yes, thanks for not bursting into flames like your competitor… that’s all I got.
Seriously,
We’ve given them so much money, they should be thanking us. They can start by maybe adding some features to the ps3 instead of taking them away.

@Combatcsoldier i downvoted just because on other ideas i see you bashing them even if its a bad idea, you can make the person feel stupid for posting it and they can be sad by people calling they stupid and morons. so respect other peoples ideas please.

What ? my original comment gets modded because i include a link to the PS blog ? The fact that this isnt even an ACTIONABLE idea , but rather commentary , combined with the removal of my post that had NO INOPPROPRIATNESS about it … all it pointed out was the fact that this was not an actionable idea and his COMMENT belongs on the blog .
I detect employee misbehavior . which makes this blog share thing …a sham … what a waste … had potential too .
