Yes, well I lost over $140 worth of Videos when my system YLOD’d, and they won’t do anything about it. NEVER buy anything from the PS Video Store. The games DRM is fine.

since I’m Canadian and can’t but movies I personally don’t care , but can’t you just copy movies to an external hdd or usb stick already to have a backup copy ?
you need to treat the ps3 like any other computer system and make regular backups of important data like that , it’s common sense .
I personally make regular weekly backups of game saves and other media I can’t redownload .

nah, thumbs down, people will just be signing into a THOUSAND PS3s, downloading EVERY POSSIBLE movie onto one PSN Account and do it on ALL of those consoles, and sell the PS3s with ALL OF THOSE MOVIES!
It’s an absolute economical disaster, it’ll be VERY VERY SAD!

@NoxNoctisUmbra – No, you CANNOT redownload any video content after the first time. Once you download a video, it actually is removed from you Download History and you can’t do it again.

+ 1 from me. I can’t believe they don’t allow you to download videos again. DRM is f’ing ridiculous and it allows companies to treat paying customers like criminals.
They don’t need to allow unlimited downloads. They could limit it to 5, same as game downloads. It’s 5, right? I forget.
That’ll prevent the economy from collapsing, right BalramRules?

You would think they would recognize and acknowledge that nearly all early purchasers are getting the YLOD. I just got it a month ago on my 80GB, and my cousin a couple months before that on his 60GB. Make it easier on all of us who are buying a PS3 AGAIN because the first ones failed us. If I’m gonna blow another $400 for the 320/move, the least you could do is let me keep what I’ve digitally purchased.
