most people can’t help that their internet slows down or even drops. What you should hope for is that the bill passes to raise all internet speeds to 100mb and the restrictions are taken away

I think what he meant to say was lag switch users. And #1 internet speed is not the same as latency which you could have 1000mbs and still lag if you have a high ping/nat2 or nat3. And I hope the bill doesn’t pass because that means it will be government ran and the government runs everything into the ground they get a hold of.

not because i don’t think cheaters should be punished but because i don’t think it should be ps3 software that’s responsible

that removes responsibility from the games developers for creating a fair game with no glitches , a proper reporting system and more mods and having servers that can detect and remove players with lag switches

money talks so refuse to buy their games if they allow cheaters and they’ll do more to stop it , buy the games anyway and they have no reason to do anything about it

Not every lagger could be cheating. And not every lagger lags because they want to. Not everyone have fast broadband.

This should be game dependent, not based on the system’s ability to handle such demand. Games should include this by default, but its all based on the way games handle networking systems via broadband.

@2, yeah i know. ever since the government started running the military it’s gone straight down hill. and how about those international relations! they just suck since the government is involved. oh, and how about monopolies? i mean, they should totally be completely legal but the gov stepped in and put a stop to that bit. how wrong of them to do that.

just stop the idiot talk and remember to take things on a case by case basis. somethings are best with government interference, other things are not. that bill doesn’t really do anything that hasn’t been done before. i mean, telling car manufacturers that they must make cars xx efficient is pretty much the same thing, and that seems to have benefited everybody out there. unless you’d prefer the fuel efficiency had back in, oh, the 1930′s.

this would only work if gamers are matched up on latency and only lagswitch users are actively banned. as it stand sony blames devs, devs blame sony, cheaters blame evry1 but nobody takes responisibility 4 the mess that is online gaming
