Yes, I saw this, too.

IMO, it’s on the same godly tier as The Last Guardian.

For those that want cliffnotes:

Water-painting is the graphics. Its beautiful.
Looks a bit like Earthbound.
Looks a bit like Pokemon.
Plays like a Final Fantasy battle, mixed with Pokemon.

Its really a neat game.

Its an RPG.

Made by Level-5 (Dark Cloud, White knight Chronicles) and Studio Ghibli (known for animated movies).

I was in immense awe when I saw it.

Definitely yes. I’ve heard people say they’d buy a PS3 strictly for this game.

It looks amazing plus PS3 needs more JRPGS. Definite first day buy for me.

Studio Ghibli + Level 5 that’s a power house combo. If this game doesn’t come to EU and US I’ll be surprised really. That only bad part is that if Japan gets it in 2011 we might not see it until *Gulp* 2012. So cross your fingers and hope that we get it right after or at the same time as Japan. I also hope Japanese and English voice overs are included because come on you have 50 GB on that blue ray disc. USE IT ;D

The characters look amazing, it’s too bad that all of the environments don’t have that same sort of look. Though the overworld is pretty impressive anyway.

Definitely needs a NA release.
