The Playstation Eye Camera game “The Eye of Judgment” is losing the ability to play online! With the Move controllers coming soon, Sony needs to expand the Eye based games, not close them down!

EOJ dies without online. is a game that after years and still has many active players who have spent a lot of money to have the complete collection.
Do not kill the game !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Similar to the sentiments that many others have expressed here, Eye of Judgment has remained one of my favorite all-time games for its uniqueness, originality, depth and endless replayability. The online competitive portion of this game is critical to the game’s value, without which the substantial investment in time and money that the game’s dedicated community (as shown in the form of card purchases, tournaments and general fandom and admiration) will be seen as a waste and would be the cause of considerable resentment by many loyal Playstation players. I urge you to seriously consider maintaining server availability for this game or provide a workable solution such as making the game open source to allow players to continue enjoying a gaming experience that cannot be found anywhere else. If our reasonable requests continue to go ignored, I believe this will damage Sony’s reputation for many including myself. Out of dissatisfaction, I honestly would turn to other platforms for my gaming and consumer electronics purchases. Please listen to your customers Sony, thank you.

Dear Sony-
I spent $1000+ dollars on cards between Sets 1 & 2 alone, then additional $69.99 for the game/camera bundle at the launch of the game. Then when Set 3 booster packs came out they were NOWHERE TO BE FOUND AND I WAS DISSAPOINTED! They weren’t done by Wizards Of The Coast either and believe Upper Deck did the final blow to the true EoJ fans…
Whatever happened to the complete Eye Of Judgment disk that got canceled…? Sony, please explain to me why are you charging a ridiculous ammont of money for the EoJ expansions? The game is attracted to people at the ages of 10 to 15 years old who can’t even obtain the money unless a parent buys them a $50 PSN card. If no one has cards or bought the expansions out there, then WHY CHARGE FOR SOMETHING?
Sony please keep the servers up. Or atleast downgrade the size of them since not many people play the game online.

Sony, please do not close servers for EOJ. Because this is the best game in the PS3.

I am not at pleased with sony.
This is a slap in the face to everyone who spent a huge sum of money on this game. This is really not a good thing for you to do sony.
I have spent over 600 pounds on Eye of judgement cards. This needs people all over the world who play Eye of judgement to let sony know that what they are doing is wrong.

Just Release an update for this game that supports P2P.
crazy enough make it cost 5e-10e Im quite certain these players are willing to spend that amount if it means they can continue to play this game online.
Eye of Judgement PS3 P2P update.
cost 5-10e.
purchased by 90% of the EOJ communities.
I have no idea about the rest.

I bought a PS3 solely for EOJ, I got 5 games now and am looking forward to a few other titles.
this will remain eitherway.
but I think it shows the love I got for this game.
I have no idea how much I spend on EOJ total.
guessing (game+eye, ps3, keyboard, all of the boosters) about 1000e
got 3 other persons in my neighbourhood that play this game, we still meet from time till time, one of them is my younger brother.
so I guess im one of the lucky ones that could still enjoy this game.
too bad it just so happens out of the 4 Im the one that likes to play online the most.
vs an unknown deck and play style, surprises and keeping it fresh/exciting.
I love it!

this game is the most innovative this gen, the use of the camera is more than M$ can dream to achieve with their Kinect. The strategy part is great, and each can build his deck as they see fit. Only problems are you need to buy lots of cards, and you can’t meet players of your level, as being crushed by guys with 2000 victories can get boring fast. I’d wish for a new game in the line, as when EoJ was released there were rumors of a Tranformers game.

Great game. Shouldn’t die like this.
Re-bundle it with some of the new MOVE-packages, rebate the cards – and the online-community will thrive again.

Don’t close the server of EOJ! Keep supporting this unique game!
And like the user above said; give it MOVE support!

How can you discontinue the servers in only three years?
What about the tens of thousands of players that bought the cards and the expansion packs?
This game was promoted as a ONLINE game, not as a TEMPORARILY online game.
At least make it Peer to Peer

Come on Sony there is such a strong community behind this game and the amount people have spent on EOJ cards over the years surely must contribute a significant amount to the up-keep of your servers. What you are doing is closing down a great community for a revolutionary product. You SHOULD keep it going and not rely on EOJ Legends!
I personally have spent so much money on cards, the set itself and buying the DLC ‘Set’ expansion packs and you want to take away the great online service. If you really go through with this there are going to be a lot of angry PS3 fans and i’m sure you don’t want bad press for the sake of closing a few servers!!!!!

I really can’t see why sony would think of closing the EOJ servers. The amount of people that like and enjoy playing the game is worth keeping the servers up.
I personally got into the game when my friend brought it round my house and we played it together with his decks. It was a lot of fun plus I won the first game against my mate even though it was my first bash at it. Eventually my birthday came and my mate brought me my own EOJ box set with the camera , the game and the set 1 and 2 common cards. Ever since that day me and him have been playing it and developing are decks. We’ve spent loads of money trying to perfect are decks so that we can best the other and it would be a shame to see that go to waste. We’ve had great times together playing the game and would like to keep playing on. So please vote to help the cause and make Sony keep the servers up.

Sony, I think it would be a big mistake to take the servers down for this game.
With the launch of Move, millions of PS Eye’s will be in households. This game would sell like hotcakes if you advertised it during Move’s launch time frame. All of those Pokemon(and related shows, games, etc.) and strategy/rpg fans would love this.
I think this game deserves a second chance, with your support behind it. Also, it would be a great game (this and Kung Fu Live) to show the versatility of PS3 and Move, in which people may think Move is only about the motion controller.
Advertise it and give it until January of 2011, before you close down the servers. Otherwise, give us P2P if that will work. Although, you should definitely advertise this again with the momentum of Move and its imminent launch.

Please don’t shut down the servers. Best game ever. I switched over from Xbox to Ps3 and this was one of the reasons why. Great game!

Well done Sony. I have not played EOJ for sometime actually I have not had time to play my PS3 for the past year but today I dusted it off to find the servers are no longer available. Very disappointed with Sony. This game relies on its on line gaming.

Bring back the servers or at least the ability to play P2P!

I just saw this blog now, and hoped something had changed since last year for this idea.
Sony, please, build a P2P for this game. There are players from different continents who loves it, and that spent a considerable amount of time and money to buy cards (besides the game price).
If it is not profitable anymore to Sony, it is still a great game for the players.
Please think on the users! When I bought this game it was not for the offline mode, but because of the onlineexperience ONLY.
Please build a P2P mode for EoJ or turn on the servers.

I was on hard times out of work for 2 years. I finally have the money to purchase a new system and am buying a ps3. Looking for interesting games for it I stumbled across the Eye of Judgment game. I’m astounded at the concept. Even though the game is no longer sold in the bundle I am going to purchase it online for nearly double the original retail price. If there was some way to enable peer to peer for the online portion of the game that would be fantastic.
Call me crazy for buying a defunct game but it looks so cool I just have to try it.
