360 DEGREES D-PAD on DUALSHOCK

Idea 31461 | Posted in , by | September 7, 2010

A lot of gamers, especially the ones who are in their 30s, like to play with the dpad instead of the stick. 360 dpad with small leds all around so you can actually see the angle your aiming for.

No. People in their 30s have had 15 years to get used to the d-pad.

sure i may not be a whipper snapper anymore… but the analog stick/buttons and pressure sensitive buttons were our ideas before you were born. lol

a 360 degree d-pad basically is an analogue stick, so basically you want a recessed analogue stick like the one the psp has? not for me thanks, maybe a third party controller would suit you better.

Well i happen to be 30, and you sir FAIL, for insinuating that I’m (gasp) OLD. or perhaps that my arthric hands can’t handle the analogue? ;)

lol, idea is fine if thats what you want, just maybe don’t put an age to it next time.

-1 sorry I happen to adore the analogue.

Wait… take the worst part of the 360 controller and replace one of the Dualshock’s best parts with it, then add disco lights… because 30 year olds can’t use analogue sticks? This is so counter-intuitive that it’s kind of awesome… I kind of want to vote +1 just for the ridiculousness of it… too bad I take Blog.share seriously.

can’t believe that… some of yall are really hating just for the pleasure of it, why the negative votes for this ?…who talked about disco lights? who said it was for old people or anything?! i know a LOT of dudes who prefer to play with the dpad, but without 360 it’s not as efficient as the stick. So i don’t see why a 360 dpad sounds so awful to yall, to each his own i guess.

Actually the 360 d-pad that is on most 3rd party controllers is the thing I dislike about them the most. I’m in my 30′s and much prefer the discrete d-pad buttons.

If your in your 30s and have a ps3 you need to walk away slowly from your ps3. Turn off the lights. And think to yourself, what is a “life”.

…says the guy who just posted in the PS3 blog. the “gamer=no life” comment is pretty funny coming from another gamer. Anyway you can be 30,40, 50 and still like gaming. as long as you make enough money for a livin’…

most of yall commented on the description while ignoring completely the main idea. i should have written “Sony, please make a Dualshock looking like a PowerA Pro Elite Wireless Controller”. assholes.

i’d have to respectfully disagree. a 360 degrees D-pad would make it difficult to play games like “street fighter” and “soul caliber” ect. having buttons makes it easier to move when playing those games.
