You can jump to the end of a single line by using the down arrow (if you’re using a keyboard,) and to the beginning of a single line by using the up arrow.
If you have multiple lines of text, it will move between the lines first, then to the beginning/end of the line, depending on which button you are pressing.
If you’re using the keypad, then… um.. why?

How about, ummmmm, IM USING A CONTROLLER like over half of PS3 users. I mean like a LONG paragraph, not a few lines.

If I came out a little angry on the last comment it is because I knew about the arrows, but when I used them nothing happened. I tested it out after your comment and wouldn’t ya know, IT WORKED! That kinda kills my idea except for the delete forward key.

So use a USB keyboard if you have one lying around. Or pick one up. If you go to Amazon and search for “USB keyboard” the cheapest one I can find is just $10.

I can say in 4 seconds with a MIC, what an average user might type in 20 seconds. Why type when you can talk, it’s just more efficient. More games and the PS3 should have bundles that include the MIC. Always seeing “I have no MIC” at Home really gets me and I’m sure that Sony has a lot of lost revenue in this area. Oh and everyone has BBerry fever.
Only known cure is the MIC at PSN
Work smarter, not harder
or
Play smarter, don’t type longer

Well, your are wrong for 2 reasons, and right for1. You’re right because I can use a mic. But, you’re wrong because since we STILL dont have XGC (cross game chat) I have to send messages. Also, I am typing this paragraph from the PS3 browser. Not everyone has a computer you know.

I was referring to PSN @ Home and all the people who do not have mics. I play BFBC2 and can have full open duplex chat with the other 3 squad members (no need to hold a button to talk). Did EA/DICE or Sony offer a bundle that included a mic with that game…NO..As far as being wrong..no issue because it it a factual observation.
What they are missing is a 3, 4, 5 or 6 way conference call setting to allow private group conversations at PSN HOME instead of all the people typing and typing. All this functionality without being in your private homespace.
