The NGP looks AWESOME, and I can’t wait for more details, but it looks really big. They should make 2 different models at launch; one that is like the current model, and one that has a sliding screen.

Agreed. The current design, although awesome, it far too bulky to be as handy as the NGP wants to be.

ok i only have 1 question , how you gonna play a game like Little Deviants? if im not mistaken i saw a part where it needed 1-1 touch screen on both screens at the same time so how you gonna do that if it has a sliding screen?

@remanutd5 The touch pad would still be behind the screen, you would been to slide the screen open to play games anyway.
Anyway, this is a great idea that I was going to submit myself. Having the controls on the side of the screen was one of my biggest issues with the original PSP, because it made the device too big to fit into my pocket. The sliding design makes so much sense because I don’t care how big it is when I’m playing with it, but when I want to put it in my pocket it has to fit.

I am happy with the current form factor as it would be too cramped if they immediately went for a slide-out screen like the pspgo.
perhaps eventually late in NGP lifetime they will release the NGPgo

I thought the sliding screen was one of the things that people DIDN’T like about PSP Go? No?

@ODINGameslayer
Not necessarily. many people hated the fact that it was so expensive, some people hated the removal of the UMD, but personally i liked that it was small (due to the removal of the umd drive and the sliding screen).

non sense sony has the technology to resize the ngp later on without sacrificing the size of the screen well making it thiner & lighter for better portability just look at this people.
Sony develops a rollable OLED screen:
