Something like a phonebook.

Idea 43483 | Posted in by | February 23, 2011

I’d like to have the option of having a phonebook on my friends list for the people I personally know and have the option to separate between online friends and personal friends.

Or like putting a full name next to their profile

Agreed, because not everyone has a phone and/or computer for personal contacts. Plus, if the PS3 ever gets Skype on it like the PSP, Playstation could potentially outrun all of their competitors.

don’t you already know your personal friends numbers ?
I don’t get why you’d need more clutter on the xmb for phone numbers you should already have in your cell phone or in the local phone book ?

I just really wish they had the option for entering people’s names or a note next to the username

As my friends list increases it’s becoming hard to remember who’s who

Actually it sounds like some1 or some people are just getting lazier and lazier. Your personal friends contact info should be stored in either an address book, or if you really need the number use the phone book or 411 to find it. Now if your talking about in game friends who you met online and dont know personal the way it is set up now is fine there is no need to add more junk to the XMB!!

@ #6 Eh a good a idea is a good idea, regardless of whether it’s repeated or copied. The whole point of this site is for the Sony community to have it’s voice heard (or try to be heard at least) so what’s the harm in a few good ideas being repeated a few times?

I was actually thinking the same thing myself the other day. They could trademark it “Playstation Groups” or something like that where you could have a section for clan members, random friends, etc. Good idea. +1

You have friends that are online only? Thats seems kind of pathetic.
