Preloading PS3′s with content.

Idea 47103 | Posted in , by | June 8, 2011

Just a cheap network game or two and a bunch of demos and trailers. Be nice for people getting a new system to have something to mess with if they can’t afford a game when they buy a system.

That is actually not a bad idea. I got the 80Gb motorstorm bundle PS3, and paying $500 I couldn’t afford any other games for a while, and I had nothing else to play especially since Home wasn’t out yet.

Remember the good old days, when systems came with 1,2, or even 3 free games???

Whatever happened to that?!?

true this is a nice idea…maybe give users a 30day plus trail when buying new ps3′s.Could mean more business if they don’t wanna lose there free games.

While preloading pixeljunk shooter 1 or another psn exclusive wouldn’t be bad trailers and demo’s will be watched, played and deleated as bloatware because not everyone has a 500+ GB
PS3 HDD and with game installs and updates using up a HDD very quickly a 120GB HDD would be out of room quickly.

A headset should be bundled with every PS3, even if it’s wired.

Great idea. Maybe something like microsoft would do with the 360, and have Tetris or something preloaded.

They really should do it. I also think that they should include a small amount of PSN credit in the box to push people to load up the store and to start spending.

A lot of people buy PS3s and never even use the store

A headset is a pretty good idea too. Store credit would be nice but I can’t see them doing that.I also don’t mean more than 5 or 6 demos or so. It would be a pain having too much stuff preloaded. Just a few things though would be nice.

Good idea. Plus, having demos already preloaded would help new PS3 owners get an idea of what games they may want to look into when they buy some.
