Voting with real time environment changes in Home

Idea 48451 | Posted in by | July 6, 2011

Any given player could initiate a vote in Home Central plaza to change a feature of there surroundings. A vote could include changing the weather, growing flowers making the pond flood and so on.

Nice idea. Would be cool to see weather and other effects happening in real time.

That is an interesting idea for allowing some user input into what the world looks like. In contrast to some of the other platforms out there (like Second Life), we in Home don’t get a lot of ability to customize out environment beyond pre-made objects unless we sign up to be PS3 developers. This would be an interesting exercise in developing camaraderie and allowing users to affect their environment.

This is an amazing idea like maybe have an ability to make some spaces to copy your time of day and have the option to turn it on and off everything you said was great this would make it more fun.

Happy Halloween!

I think it’s a step in the right direction for user interaction, but then I think about groups spamming the votes; it also reminds me of when I’m voting to play a certain map in online games and the plurality vote goes to some map I hate.

Having the same effect of disappointment because of a lost vote isn’t good for the PS Home brand.
