Yes, and with the motion sensor(s) inside, it could do it automatically, like most tablets do. I actually tried this the first time I used the browser and was sligtly disappointed when it didn’t work.

It would be awesome as well if it worked on the music player.

rear touch is one of the things that needs to be implemented..rest include optimizing the browser for better GPU acceleration to load pages faster, fix for that scrolling lag(is that a bug?)..HTML5 video plugin for sites like youtube, vertical orientation option,themes,etc..obviously all this will demand heavy packets of data and will go hard on the pockets of especially 3g vita owners,so a lite mode on the browser ? when enabled it functions basically like opera mini (to cut down on data charges)..that way,we can toggle all the bells and whistles..

PS VITA native browser scored 58 and no bonus points out of a total of 500 points in the HTML5 test..I also happen to have an ipad 2 which is incidentally a DUAL CORE(vs. the QUAD CORE ps vita with 512 MB ram and a quad core powervr GPU) and by comparison safari on that thing scored 329 and 19 bonus points, and it still loads pages FASTER THAN PLAYSTATION VITA ! loading times are roughly 2x faster on ipad, though theoretically its supposed to be slower..on the other hand, vita is roughly 2x as powerful as ipad..

put all that hardware to good use..vita is much faster than smartphones and tabs, and it ‘should’ show..sony live up to ur “it only does everything” hype ! i hope you playstation dev guys are reading this..
proper optimization can work wonders on this thing, and it’s still in a very early phase of its life cycle

i wouldn’t do that because sometimes i’m doing something like this on my vita, laying on a couch or bed or something. it would really be annoying to lay sideways and have the screen flip so that you can’t see it.

the ps vita has the sensors but most apps won’t respond to physical rotation… too bad
