I would like a simple weather app that uses your current location. It could also display the temperature and an icon (sunny, rainy, etc.) in the status bar.

I would love this, as well as some Google integration for location and Weather too. And other service would be fine too. The Vita just needs to bolster the number of everyday apps.

Ok the Vita may be a dedicated gaming device but it runs on a quad core cell phone cpu and there is skype which does technically turn the Vita into a phone. So the arguement of whether its a phone or not is a mute point. The truth is that if you paid for the 3G model and for the protection plan and accidental damage thats nearly $400 spent on your Vita, you clearly want it to still work. what happens if your outside playing it and out of nowhere it starts pouring rain like someone just blew the dam up river and the nearest building is more than 30 feet from you? the answer is your clothes get soaked and so does your system turning it from a hi def game to a giant plastic paperweight. quit your bitching cus a weather app is a sound idea unlike the paint park and treasure park apps.

The weather notifications can be on the lockscreen or every 24 hours when you unlock the lockscreen it automaticly shows the weather

A weather app would be great on the Vita. Displaying current conditions in the app bubble would be helpful. Vita has so much more potential over other systems.
