I think it would be great to have a microsoft office reader of sort so I have an excuse to pull my Vita out in class and not take my big o’ laptop. Adding a pdf reader would be awesome as well!

There is no chance Microsoft would ever licence it’s software to Sony , and no way sony would ever use microsoft software o its consoles either . These are two direct competitors and they will never allow this to happen anymore than you’d see apple allowing their ios to be used on an android device .

Microsoft wouldn’t do that because Sony and Microsoft compete against each other. Just like Sony won’t licence Blu-Ray™ to Microsoft. But if Microsoft did that, it would be a nice addition to a spectacular device.

@Above comments,
First of all, Sony don’t create Bluray by themselves. It was a joint venture with other companies like Dell, HP, LG and Sharp. If Microsoft wanted in then there isn’t much Sony could do about it but they would be given royalties
Secondly, business is business, if Sony wanted something like Office Reader then Microsoft would probably allow it at a cost.
