From Software should just develop it. Use the Dark Souls engine and make it just as challenging. I’d gladly buy that.

Even though Quantic Dream isn’t a first party studio yet… I think the Game of Thrones universe would be right up their alley.

Great. The mods finally made this place into an advertisement facility for their own pet projects. Exactly like the official forums – which is what destroyed them as well.

@3 Ugh, can’t you troll elsewhere? Is it wrong that people want to see games based on TV Show or books become actually good? I’m sure people want to have more games like Batman: Arkham City and Transformers: War for Cybetron.

P.S The forums are doing just fine and so is this space. If there is anything that is destroying it; Its the lack of feedback and communication. People don’t know if their ideas have been picked until they are actually out the door. And some of the ideas approved make you scratch your head… such as releasing Halo on PS3.

Like said – they’ve turned it into an advertisement loop for the PSN lords. They don’t use this space for picking up on ideas that actually would be awesome. They’re picking ideas for things they like the sound of, or that already have been considered.

I.e., they pick things that fit with the existing plans, and use the votes to manufacture the idea that there’s “interest” for it.

Agree games based on TV-series might be an idea, though. But having a mirror-universe between a tv-series and a game is something that has been attempted before, and that fell flat for several reasons.

But maybe a developer would be able to “co-write” a series with another studio – such as having a deeper adventure game with much more detailed plot exploration than in the 30minute series, etc. I don’t know. Sony would have a budget for that.

@6 You don’t know that they never pick any ideas, but yeah most of them are ideas that were under-way.

I wasn’t suggesting a retelling of the story because that is where most games based on a TV series or book fail. It would have to be a different story within the universe. I think that Sony would easily have the budget for it, but would be reluctant to do it.
