Why don’t the other countries swap the o and x button then?

This would be cool if it’s possible for the change to follow through into software and guides without problem, but I have a feeling that’s gonna be impossible.
It’s regretful that Sony America ever decided to make X confirm and O cancel.

In my case, I Just got a Honk Kong PS3 from a friend who was overseas, but the button inversion makes me sick (so sick I prefer to use my XBOX.
It doesn’t make any sense not to allow the player the choice about how he will communicate with the game system.
Very disappointed with sony.
