I think that they should put Bushido Blade 1 & 2 on the PlayStation Store for the PlayStation One classics. It is already on the Japanese PS Store.

This ofcourse needs to happen. The original game and its sequal should also probably be released on the US PSN. They have been on the Japanese PSN since 2008.

Bushido Blade was one of the best titles no one played.

Would be very nice, mostly after playstation move.
I remeber that the game already had a 1st person camera.

“Bushido Blade was one of the best titles no one played.”
That’s why we won’t see a part 3. :/

I would buy it

Yes. — Or, at least, release Bushido Blade [1+2] in PSOne classics.
Which will probably never happen.

I’d be interested , but it should be a psn title with move support
that could be fun , basically adding swordplay to the upcoming kung-fu live game .

Bushido Blade 3 should of happened a while ago, but the developers left and did another samurai game called Kengo: Master of Bushido, which was crap compared to Bushido Blade.

This would rock with Move support.

The closest thing we’ll get is Bushido Blade 1 or 2 on PSN. I’d love to see a third one but I wouldn’t get my hopes up.

excuse me but this is my suggestion and i don’t want it to be move only!

Bushido Blade was incredible! It deserves another chance!

Rephrase for censor
Why would 80 people vote this down, what is wrong with you guys?
If you don’t like the game, don’t rain on the rest of our parades. It’s none of your business.

PS3 and PSP gamers deserve to purchase and download the english version of
Bushido Blade 2 on the USA PSN Store. Bushido Blade 2 is one of a kind and the closest to realistic fighting perfection, with great characters, modes, story, voices, animations, and things you won’t find in the millions of other games that lean more towards fantasy than realism.
Bushido Blade 2 gives greater meaning to life and death, and a blade has never felt more deadly in a videogame.

I’d rather see Einhänder, which has been on the Japanese PSN for over 2 years now.

@aleusia, it’s [currently] 58/90 votes in favor of the poll, not the 58:90 ratio that you appear to think it is.
It’s actually 58 voted up and 32 voted down.

The PsOne classics section has been lacking good titles since February of this year. Releasing Bushido Blade (1 and/or 2)could help the selection of awful PSN classics releases. I have never considered any of the “XS” titles to be classics nor the TNN motorsports game thats on there. Hey, wait TNN doesn’t even exist anymore. Magic Carpet was terrible when it was first released on Playstation. Mass Destruction was mass boring and who would revert back to playing the original Rainbow 6? The PC port was way better not to mention rainbow 6 vegas and vegas 2 are out. Please do us gamers a favor and stop releasing non classics as classics. Just about anything from Squaresoft (SquareEnix) is a classic

How could they NOT release this on the Classics section? I remember playing this game when I was younger, and I loved it. One of the few games that I would go back and replay quite a bit. And compared to some of the other ‘PS One Classics’ they’ve been releasing, this one would do that section wonders.
I think I’ll spread this around and try to get a little more support, this is one game I’d like to see put out.

I would Like to see the square Compilations revived on PS3, like they did the bundles with Final fantasy series(and chrono trigger) on ps1, do Bushido bBlade 1+2 and maybe Einhander with Xenogears.

I could sure go for a good Bushido Blade game! I can’t believe more people aren’t voting up for this.
Imagine lush, destructible environments that you could hack to pieces while fighting with samurai swords!

This was a fantastic game. I would definitely buy and play both Bushido Blade 1 & 2! For such an old game, it still has some great gameplay! I wish current gen games would try something closer to what Bushido Blade was/is.

I am all for it, but sadly, it’s all up to SquareEnix at this point.
Still, for what it’s worth, Bushido Blade is a very underrated series and I would love to see the first 2 games released as classics on the US PS Store.

I think that this would actually do great as a PSm (playstation move) title. But making it a playstation move only title would just kill it again.
The release of PSm could be a great way to re-release alot of playstation titles that were before their time. By far, Bushido Blade is at the top of the list.
If i were SquareSoft I would combine the two originals (i.e. same enviroments, same characters)and just vamp up the graphics and destructables. Maybe add create a character and an extensive weapons customization, this way you dont have the same guys running around with the same weapons in online play. oh and believe it or not, the playstation eye is capable of full body tracking. perhaps use of this technology could be implimented as well.
Atleast release the first and second title in the playstation store with online capability.

YES! Bushido Blade3 with Move would be fantastic.
I’m concerned about blending in the use of a gamepad vs players using the Move however, as that could allow a gamepad user to spam relentlessly like was possible in BB2.
It would be fun if they could also integrate an augmented reality replay that showed your image holding the imaginary sword(s) fighting your oponent who, if they are also a player, will also be their image overlayed on a wireframe swinging and parrying your blows.
This could be a fantastic game. Sports Chapions must NOT be the only sword-fighting game for the Move…that would be a terrible shame.
FPS’s and casual games are nice, but motion based games need to focus on areas where they can really shine! Games that would be better with unscripted animations and fluid movement that allows players to improvise would be so much more entertaining!

Absolutely, please do kind sony masters.
At least tell us if you intend to, I know it can take some time to do these ports, but waiting isn’t a problem as long as the porting will be done.

I used to play this game all of the time when I was younger, now I just wish I can play this on my PS3. Square Enix and Sony can make some money off of this title.

BB1 and BB2 – These were some of the best games I ever played on PS1.
Has any other game ever come out in which you could showcase Iaido draw-kill-sheathe in a game?
BRING THEM BACK!
