Even better, offer a service for data recovery, so me and my broken launch ps3 can finally part ways!

this would be great people would almost not have to worry about losing there data (only way they could is if the hard drive itself died)

an update as it turns out my 60GB PS3 has died for good the motherboard itself is fried (it lasted 6 years) so something like this would be just what i need as for how it works my idea is
Connect HDD from dead PS3 to comp> Run program> program sort of emulates the data transfer tool on current PS3> connect working PS3 to transfer data onto it from comp> have recovered all files from a dead PS3 safely without any loss
if we could get a tool like that it would be great i lost quite a few saves with my 60GB and there is no reason that we should when the data is still tangible on a hard drive
