Hey Sony we need some help with the current issue dealing with DLC that seems to be Japan only. We have been told the Avatar quest thats locked on our disk would be released to us but hasn’t.

A statement regarding the future of this games support would be appreciated. There are over 60+ quests that have not been released to the US/EU market. Translated content has been proven to exist on the game disc but locked or in a semi-finished state. The US/EU player community is very eager to receive these quests so that we may enjoy the game further.

I voted. I love the game but hate the company who treats us like we do not matter to them. That was the nice version of this comment. We need all the White Knight Players to get involved. Do not allow them to treat us like this. Please vote this up.

This is not fair. We are paying customer just like the Japanese. We should get all the content like the Japanese. Please all players who still care about equal treatment vote this up and let Sony hear us.

Do the right thing Sony please, do not slight your customers.

Please Sony, help us get the dlc that we have yet to receive.

What D3 Publisher of America is doing to us as devoted players is shameful (and will keep me from ever purchasing their product again). Hopefully you (SCE), as holders of the WKC IP, can help rectify this.

I certainly don’t enjoy being charged premium prices for what amounts to only half a game, or being treated like I don’t matter simply because I’m not from the game’s “home market” or because the game wasn’t a genre-defining blockbuster.

Every game matters.
Every player matters.

Here is an article on the matter and some screen shots of the content that is translated but not released.

I’m pretty sad with D3P treatment and SCEA treatment to us the WKC community, with the pitty excuse of poor sales they have abandonned us since early this year, no more updates news, no events for America, poor customer information, hiding the actual responsible of the japan only content idea. One blame D3P the other blame Lv5, and the last blame Sony, we are’nt kids you know, we deserve at least an official communicate explaning the real deal. I’m from Mexico. My guild, a latin American oriented guild, C.F.N. is stil alive, some of my crew have spent a lot of money in dlc tickets, dlc artifact plans, dlc ark colors, dlc georama parts, and almost all of them, have manifested to be willing to buy the missing and already ‘locked in the disc’ c0ntent, for a a fair price of course.

12

ukyo_blue_rage  |  September 24th, 2012 at 3:34 am

Knowing people like the ones in my guild, and other people who have buyed like 300 dollars (just buyable dlc, excluding the disc price), I wonder and i ask: Sincerely.. where are the poor sales Sony?, Where are the poor sales D3P?, I want to bealive in you but seriously, you are making this so hard, the last thing i will say, if there is nt a positive response or at least a c0nvincent one, I will pass on amazing games like GOW, Uncharted and other Sony productions, as well of the new LV5 games. No support to a company that does’nt support us.

dantedemonio  |  September 24th, 2012 at 8:07 am

No sean mala onda con lo que trae el disco de WKC2, he visto todo lo que podemos tener y no nos han tomado en cuenta solo les quisiera decir que nos tomaran en cuenta y no solo a Japon por favor

16

aron65721  |  September 24th, 2012 at 9:57 am

is not right that you only give the dlc quest for japan…..that quest is for all the people

17

Hollow19  |  September 24th, 2012 at 11:11 am

I agree with everyone here. Regarless of how exclusive you want to make DLC for japan, their are hundreds of people across the globe who still play this game, who have spend hundreds of dollars on just tickets and of course hours playing this game. Wkc2 its still pretty much alive, and im willing to bet if Lv5 & D3P support us as players the very moment new DLC is up in stores it would just increase the community population. Old fans would come back to the game, new ones will have even more to look forwards too and current players would have new end game content.

Honestly, whats wrong? Japan gets all the special treatment….

steller3  |  September 24th, 2012 at 11:57 am

I spend a lot of bucks in this game in tickets, geonet parts for my town, but seems like sony do not support their loyal customers, give us the dlcs!! we deserve it!!

Dear PlayStation staff,

We as US/EU users should get the DLC for White Knight Chronicles II. It is known that JP users always have special releases on every original Japanese game. I wonder if it will cause any problems if you do release it to US/EU versions. Also, I wonder if it is already on the contract from the beginning that there is no planning on upcoming releases to US/EU versions. I think it is possible to renew that contract (hopefully). I do respect what written in the contact. However, I do not think it is wise to not to consider consumers offers. Besides, this game is exclusive to PS3 so why not to gain that opportunity? To be direct, we all will “win” if Sony convinces Level 5/D3P to release the latest patches of the game.

Best regards,
Zeltrics

deathranger29  |  September 25th, 2012 at 9:08 am

PlEASE sony convince japan to release updates to US/EU we are playing consumers and we need the same treatment as japan!
Best regards

Do not support those who do not support us anymore. If you are tired of sony & its devs giving us half a game stop buying their products.
This game is one of only a few online RPGs worth anything on this system & it may not get the needed support to keep it going.

Excuses of poor sales falls on lack of advertising. Expecting to make money & not spend money is foolish thinking.

24

lotmorning  |  September 25th, 2012 at 9:51 pm

It is sad that this game has received no further updates and that we in essence bought an incomplete game for full retail price. Sony you need to step up here and make this right please. I have been a longtime supporter of Sony for many long years and never once have I truly felt anger for your products, yet to allow a company to scam your customers and not do anything about it is a big problem.

LordKaiser00  |  September 30th, 2012 at 1:07 pm

Sony of Europe, D3P and Level-5 but it seems SOE is our roadblock to get DLC. Every Tuesday we should ask them for this in the Euro Blog.

26

LeoPortilho  |  October 1st, 2012 at 8:18 pm

put a price in those DLCs if that is the problem. I dont care paying for them. This game should never die lol.

27

Pumpkin_King__  |  October 3rd, 2012 at 4:13 pm

Im with you guys. Please sony. Dont give up on us. I’ll pay for the dlc if i have to. Im sure we all would.

28

cannonsoldier  |  October 5th, 2012 at 2:42 pm

I’m with you too. Dear Sony, alot of us have been wanting and waiting for the latest DLC in WHITE KNIGHT CHRONICLES 2 as well as the AVATAR STORY and would like to get it because we want know what happens next in the story and people been talking about it coming out, but haven’t seen it yet in the PlayStation Store and we will pay for it so don’t over look us here in the US and the EU please and thank you. If anyone else agrees help us get noticed by Sony.

Well the petition has over about 1k signatures now and the author is looking to send it into the various publishers.

Questions is who can we send it to so it has the most impact or chance of not being sent to the trash immediatly by a bot. Does anybody have some email addresses of the right people we should address it to?

30

freostice  |  October 10th, 2012 at 7:23 am

I say we start a specific facebook page, dedicated to boycotting D3 and LV5 if the DLC’s are not unlocked to us. Why buy products from a company who only gives you products at half par? It is not fair to the players. Tho, fair is not mandatory, it is just the right thing to do. If they do this to you this time they will in the next games to come as well.

Besides, Japanese players die of panic attacks if they don’t get it, and they didn’t want lawsuits.

31

xamurax  |  October 11th, 2012 at 9:46 pm

if anything all i would ask for is maintenance since the game is over run with modded saves and hacked players and as far as i read that is against Sony online entertainment then i would ask for DLC

32

Barandix  |  October 12th, 2012 at 11:33 pm

This was posted by Kos-Mos on the WKC2 facebook page about sales figures in US/EU.

WKC2 in Japan released a YEAR ahead of the EU or NA. Yet here we are deep into 2012 and they have still been receiving updates to the game (raising GR and level limits to 50 and 90 respectively) as well as quests suited to higher GR players and of course the Avatar Story. I understand that one of the claimed reasons for not bringing this DLC to NA/EU is that the revenue isn’t sufficient to merit it. Well, first of all, 49% of all copies of WKC2 sold were sold OUTSIDE Japan.

33

34

Barandix  |  October 12th, 2012 at 11:34 pm

Secondly in 2012 do you know how many copies of WKC2 are reported to have been sold in Japan? I’ll tell you – 35. In all of 2012, 35 new copies in Japan. At the same time there were nearly 95000 copies of WKC2 sold during 2012, so that would mean that 99.994% of all copies of WKC2 sold in the world during 2012 were sold outside Japan. nearly 63,000 were sold in North America. Since WKC2 in Japan enjoyed such strong support in 2012 despite effectively no sales of new copies, you might suspect that a huge number of copies must have been sold the year before – 2011. But in truth the sales in 2011 of WKC2 in Japan were something like 6500 copies. So in the 2011/2012 time frame 260,000 copies of WKC2 are reportedly sold outside Japan and less than 6,500 were sold in Japan.

35

Barandix  |  October 12th, 2012 at 11:34 pm

Part 3

So, tell me again why it is that there’s not enough revenue to localize the extra content for us, when 6,500 or less sales justified Level 5 spending 2 years of someone’s time working on the game in Japan?

How are we to believe the arguments that revenue does not support localization of the DLC when the sales information shows that there has been good revenue and that players outside Japan nearly outnumber those in Japan (not including the players that imported copies of WKC2 through places like Play Asia).

36

Barandix  |  October 12th, 2012 at 11:35 pm

Part 4

That doesn’t even begin to talk about the revenue from the existing tickets and DLC for WKC2. Talk about a missed opportunity, a simple commitment to the Avatar quests and game patches would have kept 1000s and 1000s of players from leaving the game and buying their monthly tickets to keep building their characters for the new content.

EIGHTHX  |  October 18th, 2012 at 11:31 am

Please Sony get D3 & LVL5 to release all of the DLC content to the U.S. & Europe servers. It’s not fair that we don’t get equal treatment as Japan does. The U.S & Europe servers are still on version 1.01, while Japan just got a 1.15 patch!

There are also items in the OFFICIAL NA Strategy Guide such as Chromium/Guardian Gem lvl.10 and the “Overlord’s Raiment” which is a reward for completing Avatar Quest 10. Per D3P these items are exclusive for Japan but why are they in the NA gaming guide then? Guide also has Knight items such as Guardian/Power Gem V, Break unit increase items, Haste unit increase, Drive accessories to lower mp cost on Knights, all shown in the official NA guide.
