PS Store on PC

Idea 58363 | Posted in by | July 24, 2012

For those times when you’re away from your PS3 for the week, but just CAN’T pass up that great deal. Buy on the PC, download on the PS3 later.

This would add too much pirating.

No it would not, itunes and others do it just fine with no problem. This would just be a way for users to get content faster. Your not downloading games at all just buying them and viewing, when you turn on your PS3 then they would download, Rented movies and purchased ones you could view, this would be a way for Sony to directly compete with Itunes.

I understand as of late the hole ‘piracy’ thing has been a big deal but iTunes and others use a special kind of file that cant be hacked and redistributed. So please only give votes if you understand how piracy and other things really work.

No its nothing like what I am talking about, I’m talking about an app that is just the same as what you see on the PSP and PS3 Store. Media Go is more of a way to put your content on your PSP. I’m talking about a store front.

Yeah, Media Go in Australia has the same store front (once you’ve actually selected the store, that is)…

I voted up for this idea, other console has this feature too and i would love to see it for PS3

or instead of app the website should be

store.playstation.com and download PS3 content from any PC and you turn on your PS3 and it downloads.

It should use Wake-On-RemotePlay to turn the PS3 on remotely and auto download

This needs to be done Sony!
One of my friends has a PS3 and wants to buy DLC and PSN games but he can’t because he hasn’t got access to the internet at home

Not only that, it would also help who have vita

Such as buying psp games that are not in vita store
And subscribe to plus
Checking what’s on ps3

Hope they will think about it and not just say it will be trouble some

This would be a really useful feature. I didn’t have access to my PS3 for the past couple of weeks and would have missed out on some of the great summer sales if I hadn’t been able to use my brother’s PS3. Would have been easier if I could have just accessed the Store from my computer.

And, that, IceColdKilla44, is exactly the kind of thing I’m talking about. If you like this idea people, spread the word! Share with your friends or on Facebook and have people vote it up! Sony won’t notice this without the votes!

Yeah, I wanted one for VITA at least. The more hubs to make game downloads, game content management, etc more convenient is better.

Also, I want to go to Sony.com or Playstation.com to acess the store front my PC’s web browser.

very bad idea dude, people will try to hack it and get all the games using fake accounts or their real accounts and then get ban. I wouldn’t allow this unless their is some type of blocker and 100% Security to make sure people don’t hack.

It would be useful, and I’m happy to know that I’m not alone on this matter. I’ve lost great deals because “I was not near a PS3 to buy some games/addons on that exact week”. We have PCs almost everywhere, so it would be easier (plus, we would be able to filter and order products in a faster way).

There are some web pages that already do part of the job, by listing the games of the US PS Store and their prices. I find it very useful when I’m deciding on buying a blu-ray game or its digital version and also see which games I could buy given a certain amount of money.
