Original PSOne Grey Dualshock 3

Idea 58693 | Posted in , by | August 1, 2012

I feel there should be a grey dualshock 3 controller the same color as the original PSOne controller. Not silver, not metallic.. just plain old grey.. thanks for your time.

There’s a official white DUALSHOCK 3, then why we need the PS One controller color?

Just wanted to post this idea. Give us the classic grey to celebrate the birth of the PlayStation systems.

Great idea. A nod to the good old PlayStation.

It has to be the exact same grey as the old Dualshocks, though.

Would be the best option for a new color

Why would Grey be a nice color to add? I’m not really seeing it myself. I’d like more vibrant colors to be added to the selection. Grey just seems plain. But I guess there’s a lot of people who disagree.

@ReptileHand

It would be a nice color to add, because people want it. Just because you don’t like it, doesn’t mean it shouldn’t happen.

A lot of DUALSHOCK ideas are getting – votes, because the person doesn’t like it. The problem is, that doesn’t make it a bad idea. – are for bad ideas, not personal distaste. :/

Important: NOT the PSOne controller color (which would be white), but the color color from the original ps1

I was going to post the same idea as well! You can always paint your own controller or mod it to whatever color, but only Sony can give us the original grey the PS1 controller had. I clicked to submit my idea and was told that someone else had posted it. Went through the 16 pages of ideas to make sure I wasn’t about to duplicate it and found this. You get my vote.

If this doesn’t win, nothing else should be picked. Nostalgia.

I hope something else wins and they decide to publish this anyways. We get a new color and the nostalgia crew get their PS1 color. Everyone’s happy.

Would love to see the classic PS1 grey color for the next Dual Shock 3 design. Bonus if the PS logo can be colored red,yellow, green blue like on the PS2 and PS3 (phat model) systems.
