To be able to use the PSVita as a simple PS3 controller, not just with cross-controller for specific games, but for all games so I can buy a PSVita instead of a second PS3 controller.

+TDUBBNOLOVE The PSVIta already does that since FW 1.80.
+NerdSama Yes, I really want that option, since the PSVita has ALL the options available on a Dualshock3 Controller.

Can’t you use it by Remote Play? I mean sure, few games have the functionality, but there will be more patches.

Hey, I had this idea a long time ago and it was rejected. But I guess it is way more practical for Sony now, with cross controller to expand that over the whole ps3 ui

I really want this feature. When Cross-Controller was first announced, im sure a lot of us thought that it would cover everything, but instead we are sitting around waiting for countless developers to utilize the feature which is very few.Sony needs to make both re-mote play & cross-controller a requirement for all new ps3 games, or atleast the first party ones.Sony should be continuing implementing everything they started from the beginning especially 3d gaming.

I mean, with the option of making the rear touchpad as L2/R2 and L3/R3 buttons (thanks fot the 2.05 update) for PS1 games is amazing and it will open doors to more Cross-Play games and to make PS Vita work as a regular controller (or a controller that works like the Wii U tablet-controller maybe). This idea should have, not only more positive votes, but more support from Sony to make it a reality.

I for one am one of the gamers that would buy any and every video game that enables cross-controller or remote-play.Why games like Infamous, sly cooper,Ratchet & clank and Jak & daxter arent fitted with these features is of confusion to me…They should be doing atleast 1 or 2 games a month to get us hyped for it..

Right now, the vita and ps3 are set up to do this, there’s an x-controller button on the remote play live area and the ps3 just needs to have the latest firmware (something mine sorely lacks since I don’t have internet).
