Idea 1278 | Posted in by | March 17, 2010

This year the sony e3 press confrance should be streamed live in home, although last year the highlight were shown, its not the same.

During E3 2011, the PlayStation keynote was live streamed in Home.

KILLZONE79  |  March 17th, 2010 at 4:11 pm

Nay, i prefer downloading it from the PSN store then i can watch it whenever i want to.

i gave this a idea a thumbs down, sorry!

gingie05  |  March 17th, 2010 at 4:12 pm

Who would vote no! Yeah good idea – if you voting no… its caus you not gunna watch anyway in which case why vote at all… or caus you dont use home… same applies.

K3ViNPwNz-  |  March 17th, 2010 at 4:13 pm

THUMBS should be asking for better ideas

SHINSPIKES  |  March 17th, 2010 at 7:34 pm

Great idea mang, all the game conventions or conferences should be streamed live and DL for psn.

Dandonian  |  March 17th, 2010 at 9:42 pm

I thought this was the main reason for having Home when they first announced it. But lets take it one further.

Create E3 in Home and let us check out all the demo/video footage.

I would have paid for Home access to GDC as it would have cost me thousands to get to it.

iWarMachine10  |  March 17th, 2010 at 9:47 pm

i’d love this to happen, the last e3 we didn’t have any official word about this….and MS had an official one in their 360 site!

burnedearth  |  March 18th, 2010 at 2:54 am

Superb idea. I hated trying to watch this on other websites which kept messing up last year.

Aven86  |  March 18th, 2010 at 6:33 am

I would like for them to stream it in Home and then at a later date have it downloadable

GHenrik  |  March 18th, 2010 at 7:52 am

This is what I wanted Home to be. A live community waiting in excitement for news and discussing them together. P2P support for Home to loosen up the pressure on bandwith would be great.

djnealb  |  March 18th, 2010 at 9:40 am

Why not both live streaming in Home and, for those of us that have to work during the day, a download of the FULL presentation (not just highlights) later through the PSN store?

gazaegaga  |  March 18th, 2010 at 10:59 am

LIVE is LIVE – perfect idea, and after we can download it from PSN too

kNoWlEdGe22  |  March 18th, 2010 at 11:01 am

Not just E3 but GDC, TGS and the Cologne Game convention…

EMZ2007  |  March 18th, 2010 at 11:40 am

But that’s like promoting other companies if they show the whole E3 in Home. A big ad for Microsoft & Nintendo inside of Home. I don’t think they want to do that really.

ShosSofe  |  March 18th, 2010 at 8:32 pm

same with most other people, I would just download them. I don’t feel like using Home in my Home to watch a video.

speedmastaflex  |  March 18th, 2010 at 9:37 pm

I wouldn’t be surprised if they did this, but I hope they also just make it available for download, since i hate streaming.

speedmastaflex  |  March 18th, 2010 at 9:37 pm

Oh and EMZ, he’s probably talking about Sony’s keynote and maybe their booths, not the event as a whole.

Elvick_  |  March 18th, 2010 at 10:27 pm

@1; You could still do that. More options is a plus. Voting no is ridiculous. You lose nothing by voting yes.

@Suggestion; That would be cool, whether it would work or not I don’t know.

sbXLchAMpS  |  March 19th, 2010 at 2:17 am

meh, G4 does a pretty good job.

patriot298  |  March 19th, 2010 at 8:47 am

Whats wrong with PS3 gamers?? Good grief!! This is a good idea. Don’t you think Sony is smart enough to put a finished version up of E3?? PS3 gamers need to be more positive. So many good ideas going to waste because of idiot wanna be gamers that don’t know there butt from a hole in the ground.

anilorim  |  March 20th, 2010 at 6:42 am

What #20 said. Great idea!

PharmBoY044  |  March 20th, 2010 at 12:10 pm

This is actually a great idea. Why can’t Sony stream any live show, not just the E3 conference in Home? Use these live events to bring more people into Home.

Landon1620251000  |  March 20th, 2010 at 8:43 pm

The coolest thing you can do with this idea is put the likes of IGN or G4 on board.

Arion87  |  March 25th, 2010 at 1:28 pm

@20 last years E3 conference wasnt added to the EU PSN

NoobianGod  |  March 29th, 2010 at 2:28 pm

Even if it is not live I would still appreciate being able to see it in the Home Theater after the fact.

Buuhan1  |  March 30th, 2010 at 2:58 am

I voted YAY, but I’ll be watching it in HD on G4.

Skater_Ricky  |  March 31st, 2010 at 10:47 pm

Please Make This Live and then when its done to make it Streamed over and Over Again for at least a week or two in HOME and also Put it up on the PS Store for Download in 1080p please!

BalramRules  |  April 12th, 2010 at 11:45 am

So should the GamesCom, Tokyo Game Show, ComicCon, Games Developer Conference, and LOADS more! XD Oh yeah, and the Throne’s Coranation to the throne ROFL! XD

favian  |  April 24th, 2010 at 3:00 am

Don’t want it streamed in home, never liked streaming video in home, but if they can make it stream on the xmb, that’d be awesome.

boneyardweller89  |  April 28th, 2010 at 7:25 pm

I would kill a man to be able to stream the Sony press conference to my PS3…

…I’m not kidding.

Dajmin  |  April 30th, 2010 at 10:40 am

The reason I installed Home in the first place was because I thought there were plans to set up events like E3 in there, so we could walk round a virtual version of the expo rather than being restricted to what other people want us to see.

coolasj19  |  May 16th, 2010 at 10:16 am

you will still probably be able to download it from the store but i want to be in a Sony sanctioned environment where i can freely chat with people.

PharmBoY044  |  May 16th, 2010 at 3:14 pm

Excellent idea. I hope this is done this year.

KDiaz123  |  June 14th, 2010 at 1:45 pm

HELL YES! it was to expensive for me to buy tickets

HMS_Victor  |  June 16th, 2010 at 6:27 pm

They showed the Sony conference in the new E3 space
If anyone else is here, it’s only for the 3 days E3 is on so yesterday, today and tomorrow so if you want some of the exclusive stuff, get there soon

MJoniaux  |  March 2nd, 2011 at 12:32 am

360 has it, why not you sony come on
