Reversible Cover Art for PS3 Games

Idea 20675 | Posted in , by | June 10, 2010

Provide an alternate cover art for games on the opposite blank side of the inlay insert. Would be great for people who dont like the original cover art & intend on keeping the game in their library

Good Idea. I like having inside artwork in the game case.

Final Fantasy Dissidia for PSP has reversible cover art. It’s kinda neat.

Hmm, I dunno. A lot of cover inserts have art on the other side anyway, do you really need all of the game specs printed over it too? Just flip the ones that do have art on the other side.

I am still trying to figure out how to print the alternate cover art for heavy rain that sony released. Wish they gave some kind of permission to get it reprinted at Kinkos to have it professionally printed. Most kinkos won’t let you reprint copywritten material without permission from copyright owner.

Hmm I voted +1 for this but some PS3 games have internal artwork on other side of slip cover and I really like that. (See Resistance 2 internal side)

i like the inside art more, i don’t need to see all the packaging garbage inside and out. voted down.

I suppose it would save sony some money having (for E.g) EU artwork on one side and US art on the other, as i’ve noticed that for some games, we used to have different covers from our american counterparts (Splintercell, splintercell: pandora and Splintercell: Chaos to name but a few). So in one way it would be good, but again, the internal art can be good too. So i’m undecided here

why? we don’t need our games to get more expensive

too bad in canada sometimes they remove the cover inserts disc art. cause i guess they want to save $$$ because they have to produce 2 game manuals (english&french).

This would be great especially on the Greatest Hits (GH) releases. Not all of us like the GH banner on the cover art.
