R2/L2 Functioning Trigger Grip for PSVita

Idea 62997 | Posted in , by | September 18, 2012

Re-design the PDP Trigger Grip to create R2/L2 mechanism to touch the R2/L2 section on the touch pad on the Vita rather than using our fingers. Please check out the PS Vita forum to see my designs.

Seems like a slam dunk to get the L2 and R2 buttons on the Vita.

optimus do they allow you to edit the idea to link to ur technical overlay images? a photobucket or flickr would be an easy way to mirror and our thread looks like it got wiped off the forums??

alien_jew_420  |  September 19th, 2012 at 4:27 pm

The thing about this peripheral would be strictly for those games like Ps1 Classics as well as Ps3 Cross-play games… like PSABR etc.

I like this idea, but here is a push, or improvement or it, if Sony call pull it out.
Remember that accessory port on top of the PS Vita, make this idea with that accessory port in use, is that possible?

Perhaps they could add memory storage functionality to it also, if it uses the accesory port? would be awesome for devs, they could then seriously consider mmo’s for the vita.

Exlortor  |  September 25th, 2012 at 10:48 am

without having to put the mmo on a game card. also, vita gamers wouldnt need to switch memory cards, just to play a game..

i have custom L2 R2 triggers made that work and are very responsive. i know sony can do this. its a easy task ill vote on it.

“Perhaps they could add memory storage functionality to it also, if it uses the accesory port?”

That’s useless. Vita has a memory card already.

I’m all for a device attachment for L2/R2 buttons. 🙂 Or maybe Bluetooth for the PS3 Dual Shock Controller. 🙂

this would be vital to the ps4 remote play experience and i really hope it gets made

Why hasnt this shown up yet?

1. Usful for ps1 classics
2. Optimize ps3 streaming
3. Probably increase sales of vita’s especially if paired in a package of some sort(I.e. ds3 cotroller, adapter to mount the vita, the vita itself and perhaps a 5$ psn credit)
4. Souldnt be hard if it was already done for the psp go

Sony needs to hear there audience asap!

IT_BRNS_WHN_IP  |  February 7th, 2014 at 9:28 pm

Did I mention that small move will drive sales of vitas and psn purchases? Maybe even start including ps1 classics in the free games for ps+ members and reduce the financiql impact made by higher tier games.

Thats enough of my rant

DarKnight_360  |  February 23rd, 2014 at 6:55 pm

Please this is much needed, it’s a pain to use the L2 R2 when I remote play
