Download DLC From Different Region

Hello. I would like to order some games from Japan but the only problem is that I would also want to buy the DLC’s that are available there.

Steps to get Japanese DLC:

1- Create a Japanese PSN account;
2- Connect to Japanese VPN;
3- Download the DLC;

Once it’s on your Playstation, you can play the game/DLC with your US account (unless it’s an online game like Phantasy Star Online 2, which only has Japanese game servers).

if we get a code for Japanese dlc, I think we should be able to use it! If the game’s is region free, they should make the dlc region free too! that attack on titan armin dlc costume was never released here, so I never even had a chance!

    The games technically are not region free on PS4. Sony lets the developer/publisher choose whether or not to restrict a game to be playable in a certain region. Only like 2 or 3 ever did. Honestly Sony did this to avoid the issues the PS2 had with illegal mod chips and piracy.

This isn’t really much Sony can do for this as it is up to the game publisher/developer to do this and DLC is tied to the region of the game due to the core code of the game. Sony simply enables the publishers to set up shop.

To not have this option on such a globalized world is nonsense.
