Allow Sub Accounts to Share and Stream

Idea 85728 | Posted in , , , , by | July 28, 2016

I would like to stream and upload videos to my YouTube account from PS4 but I can’t because I have a sub account. Please allow users with sub accounts to share their gameplay content on their social media channels.

I hope that they’ll accept this idea. They should allow it for sub-account owners that are 13 or older because they have access to social accounts anyway.

At the very least allow the master account to decide whether or not to allow it. It’s ridiculous how many options are taken away.

Unfortunately, all my kids created separate accounts due to this fact. It should be up to the parents when it comes to restricting features. It’s to late for me, but it needs to be fixed at some point.

Agree this change is needed. There’s a work around (gotta love those kids on YouTube to get answers). Set up an adult account. While logged on the adult account hit the share button and start streaming and then switch to the child account and start playing. The stream is still going. It will show the stream coming from the adult PS4 name (just make it similar to yours) but your screen name in the game will be your child account an it can stream to any YouTube account you want.
