Increase PS4 Party Limit

Idea 86837 | Posted in , , , by | October 13, 2016

Please increase the Party limit on PS4 to at least 11-12. Many multiplayer games such as FIFA could really benefit from this.

I think this is a great idea at least increase it to 10. For example in battlefield 1 a squad consist of 5 players and if you have a full party that’s 8 so then you’re trying to run 2 squads of four who can speak to each other. So if increased to 10 you’ll be able to run 2 full squad

I would want up to 32 players for full clan/platoon matches on games like battlefield that have can have a full 32 player team, possibly even 64 player max for when the whole clan is playing both sides and wants to just mess around. Yes it would not be the easiest thing to do since there are so many people, but that is our choice. Also there are ways to make it easier to communicate, you create squads name each of the squads and then when you need to talk to your squad or talk to a squad leader yell out, for example “Blue Squad take C base, Red Squad take E base”, or “Red squad there are badguys on D base I need help!” That way if you are not in red squad or whatever squad is yelled out you don’t need to worry about listening.
Also the bigger parties aren’t just for the group to communicate but so that you can have the leaders of the squads or groups within the group to be able to not only speak with their squad but also with the other squad leaders so that they can coordinate. Please Playstation make it possible for more then 8, at least 32.

Yep get on this Sony. Makes no difference for those who don’t want 10 in a party cos they can just lock it.

Yeah we need at least 12 for two teams of overwatch. Ran into this problem today.

Its 2017. Why we dont have an increase is nuts.

Why we don’t have an increase and be allowed to change our gamertags if we’d like is ridiculously stupid.

I think this would be a good idea for some multiplayer games.

grand theft auto parties force us to need more than 8 people in a party, although 12 people talking at once is egregious

16 players would be nice. Playing Battlefield 1 with you platoon gets hard when you have more than 8 guys on. Also it will help in 15v15 or 12v12 clan battles.

I feel like a lot of games out there are very cool, and interresting. But there aren’t enough free roaming games. For example I have a wonderful idea for gta or to make this a game. I was thinking originally after playing the story mode for GTA. It would be cool if you could retire as a police officer and be able to pull over people over to write down a ticket. Or a drug bust. And vet dispatches across the map to go to. It also would be very cool to pump your own gas.
Thankyou for your time

I think 10 would be ok. 12 is too much.

Would be great to have more then 8 players in a party chat. Especially when you have a 16vs16 match against other plootoons in bf1. Having the ability to talk to the whole team and get the tactics right for every situation that arises in one match alone is vital to winning or not getting your arse handed to you. Allow the player to deciding the limit will keep all players happy. I like that part but increasing the limit to 16 and allowing us to chose our limit up to 16 would be really great

C’mon Sony what’s the hold up? With your sound / music roots I’d think this would be fairly easy with codecs and compression resources you have available. Party chat needs to be 10 minimum – I’d prefer 15 (3 full squads in Battlefield). Also ability to adjust volume per individual in party chat!
